To say the Chiefs have been struggling as of late is an understatement. Throw out the sim season and the Chiefs were on a 6 game losing streak. Signs of life were evident in week 1 as a passing attack was starting to come together a little too late in that one.

The Chargers would get the ball first and couldn't get anything going and were forced to punt. The Chiefs put together an impressive drive to start their first possession. However, the demons returned and rookie Boisture forced a pass that was intercepted by the Chargers. With momentum in their corner, the Chargers confidently marched down the field and Philip Rivers found Sidney Rice wide open from 17 yards out for the score and the 7-0 lead. The Chiefs would respond and Jamal Charles would punch it in from 1 yard out to knot up the score, 7-7. The Chiefs would force a punt on the Chargers next possession. It was a perfect punt as it bounced out at the one at the 2 minute mark in the half. The Chiefs were just looking to get a first down and run out the clock to end the half. However, they started moving the ball. With 4 seconds left, no timeouts at the Chargers 1, Boisture would find a wide open Travis Kelce for the 1 yard score and their first lead of the season, 14-7.

The Chiefs would respond again in the third as Boisture would find Kelce from 7 yards out to put the Chiefs up 21-7. A late Succop fieldgoal and a Ryan Mathews 2 yard score with 46 seconds rounded out the scoring, 24-14.
