Since the game does not have this award integrated into it yet I figured since we all seem to be using freshman regularly we could have it between ourselves. It will work similar to the Performance of the year except the award will go to the best freshman over the entire season.

    Rules:

    - True Freshman and RS Freshman are eligible

    - When nominating, nominate one offensive and one defensive player and list his stat line.

    The nominees are:

OLB Travis Johnson - Auburn - 26 Tkl 19 TFL 16 sacks 1 Interception 1 Forced Fumble 1 Fumble Recovery

RB: Ray Hall - Ohio State - 49 rushes 158 Yds 1 TD, 381 Recieving Yds 6 Tds 689 Return Yds 1 TD

QB: Bart Houston - Wisconsin- 2857 Yds Passing 26 TDs

    Great idea Glen Cieske

Is it a performance or just the season stats?

Trick had a great year, but only started 4 games and split playing time in another 3. He's also been out for the past 3 games with an injury

    Ray Hall, Ohio State
Though he may have been overshadowed by some of the veteran Buckeyes, Ray Hall was a crucial element in Ohio State's 2013 success, and made a strong case for Freshman of the Year. Alone, Hall's numbers aren't all too impressive. But his abilities as a rusher, receiver and return man helped propel OSU to a 11-1 record. Hall had several huge moments this year, most notably his kick return against Michigan State and his all around play against Virginia Tech.

    My case for Travis Johnson
    1. He is a finalist in the for:
The Bednarik: Top defensive player he's 4th only FR in top 10
The Nagurski: defensive player of the year he's 4th only FR on list
The EA sports best LB: he is 5th and only FR on list
    2. He has started every game as a true freshman and has 26 tackles and 19 of them are for a loss with 13 sacks, 1 int and a FF and FR
    3. He might not win it but he's been a great player for us and will be for a few more years

Looks like Wisconsin might take home two performance of the year awards.
