    Wisconsin 34 @ Cincinnati 14

In the rain, the Badgers with a green QB Mark Taylor were going to lean on Junior HB Cam Kelly. The plan worked as Kelly earned player of the game honors with 23 carries 144 yds and 3 tds. He also added the first score of the game on a 53 yard screen pass. The Bearcats had no answer for Kelly as he ran freely most of the game. Soph QB Taylor was 7/8 149 yds and 1 TD.

On Defense The Badgers played a bend don't break defense. They an do that with a pretty solid secondary. Some passing plays noone was open and coverage sacks were a plenty. The Bearcats dropped some easy balls and QB Sledge was very erratic. There wasnt much positive happening for the Bearcats and Coach Spartan was not happy with his team. I am sure they got a mouthful in the lockeroom.

Quote from JC "This game was not even close to being competitive". GG Mr. Spartan....tough first game to open the season. It can only get better from here.

Key injury suffered by the Badgers: DE Rogers out for 5 more weeks with a broken collar bone. The Badgers are running low on DE's here.....when Williams left early it left a GAPING whole. We have a freshman filling in....ugh.

    2 bye weeks coming :(
