Cincinnati Bengals look to Kenyon Hubert with No. 1 pick in the HK draft The rumors are swirling as a last minute blockbuster trade between the Bengals and Redskins was finalized earlier this morning. The Bengals highly pursued Iowa MLB Kenyon Hubert for their first round pick but it didn't come without consequence. The Bengals would send OLB Keith Rivers, MLB Rey Maualuga, and their 1st round pick (29th) for RE Stephen Brown, the Redskins 1st and 5th. Immediately after the finalization, GM Emmdotfrisk reached out to Kenyon as an Iowa alum to express his interest in picking him for the 2013 draft. The Nagurski and Butkus award winner and Iowa product who led the school to a Big 10 championship, became the first LB to be selected in the first round since 1988 when Auburn LB Aundray Bruce was selected first overall by the Atlanta Falcons. Hubert was widely projected to be the first or second overall pick before the Bengals inked a deal with the Redskins. He joins the team under two time playoff appearance and 2011 HK Bowl champion Emmdotfrisk.Hubert called the first overall pick as a "great responsibility." "I'm blessed for this whole organization to put faith in me," Hubert said. " I can't wait to get to my new hometown of Cincinnati."
