As a reminder, your number of scholarships available is determined by the following 3 things:

    A) 70 - number of players on your roster
    B) number of seniors
    C) 2 player cushion

    Happy recruiting!

BUCKS OFF TO HOT START FOR 2017

Ohio State is off to perhaps its best early-season recruiting start to date, having hauled in four top-rated prospects at key positions of need. Here's a look at the first four to sign with the Buckeyes in 2017.

    [IMG] [IMG]

With the way Ohio State has recruited in the past few years, it's hard to say they recruit a certain position group best, but if you had to choose the likely choice would be the defensive lines, particularly defensive ends. Miller and McQueen are both stud bookend pass rushing prospects with great size, athleticism and burst. The coaches aren't sure which one they like most, and they're glad that they don't have to choose. One thing is for sure, though. Opposing quarterbacks won't enjoy seeing either of these guys on Saturdays.

Considering Yates doesn't do much of anything on the offensive side but is still rated a 74, we expect he'll be at least a serviceable offensive lineman.

Jordan is a gem we're very excited about. He would likely make a very good running back, but it's looking like Ohio State will bring two other ball carrying prospects in later on, and both should be better than Jordan in that respect. The coaches anticipate that Jordan will end up somewhere in the secondary, likely at safety, and he'll have a shot to play right away.

    BRAND NEW AGGIES!
    MLB.jpg DE.jpg T.jpg

Gaines isn't the fastest but should be a very solid run stopper and fit in well with the other young LBers in the system.
tOSU hasn't gotten all the great DE recruits. ATM has gotten their share as well. Holt has everything but the Finesse Moves. Great speed and strength for a freshman for sure.
Mitchell will have plenty of time to develop on a good OL who only has one SR this season. A solid athlete who should develop into a good pass blocking OT.

    AGGIES HIT TOP TARGET!
    WR.jpg DE.jpg

The only needs to the Aggies this year were 2 WRs. This week they reeled in their big fish. Kenyon Holley, despite having an interesting name for a white dude is fast and skilled at wideout. He wont have to be a superstar right away but he will likely get PT next year with all the SRs graduating.
Randolph is a huge gem at DE. He has nearly identical skills as his fellow incoming DE Holt, with the added bonus of being 6'6. The young DEs in the program should be able to rotate often and not lose any skill.

She looks way different than she did in the Olympics. Got taller too.

    Good man coverage skills.

That's a pretty studly Jr ATH. Do you have a need for him at QB or will he be playing elsewhere?

I have a pretty decent RS FR next season who was also an athlete. I could potentially move either to WR as their skills support that move. Shane Morris is gone so I need one of them to start ASAP.

With only 13 scholarships available the Sooners had to be somewhat selective in their offerings this year. The coaching staff decided that there were several areas on the team that they needed to address, with the Offensive and Defensive lines being paramount among them. There are three open slots left and some BIG time recruits being pursued in them.

    OHIO STATE RECRUITING UPDATE
    [IMG]

    [IMG] [IMG]
Getting help in the secondary was priority A, B and C for Ohio State this season, and the mission was accomplished with Black, Larson and the athlete Max Jordan who committed a few weeks ago. One of Black, Larson and Jordan will definitely start next season as a true freshman, and good money is on Mo Black. Though he doesn't have the speed of Larson or Jordan, he is a fantastic hard-hitter that posses good zone coverage skills. He could also excel at the "Star" nickel back position which will be empty with the departure of Vonn Bell. Larson is a more natural athlete, but will need to improve in coverage.

Reyes could be a nice receiver, but expect for him to play running back for the Scarlet and Grey. And with Dontre Wilson and Ezekiel Elliot departing, and Aaron Jenkins expected to play a versatile receiver-like role much like Wilson, expect Reyes to play early as well. Ohio State still hopes to add to this group with 4* gem Ronnie Walker, who is deciding between Ohio State and Penn State (Jbek).

Meeks is a well-sized interior linebacker who selected Ohio State over the likes of LSU and Auburn. He's pretty miserable in coverage, but that's OK considering he won't be playing too much early on given that Ohio State signed the top MLB in the country last year, Aaron Anderson. Meeks is simply coming in to supply depth, which OSU needs at an extremely talented but thin linebacking corps. Meeks could be a great defensive end, but Ohio State has so much talent there, so it's likely that he sticks it out at linebacker and plays as a reserve next season.

Brooks is your typical gem lineman prospect with high acceleration and low impact blocking. He's got nice strength too. We hate his size as a tackle, particularly his weight, but he'll make a fine backup center, which we needed badly.

It's crazy that you're able to bring in so many highly rated prospects, Spayer. It seems like most of the recruits that are interested in me are busts or maybe +1 or 2. I'm glad I don't play in the Big Ten, you guys are screwed with the newest tOSU class

Jesse Bradford is the 11th prospect to sign on with the Sooners. There are currently 2 spots left in this year's class.

Save some 80+ OVR guys for everyone else!

I'm surprised you found a JuCo Soph 4 star. You don't see many of those.
