Ok so claven has a thought about how to stop this 'rent-a-player' deal that a few guys are discussing. Basically where a owner puts a big bonus on a player and cuts as a mandy cut the next year, getting out scott free. IMO its not a huge deal, but could be if guys like dunlap catch on. So here is his suggestion. Basically we set a number, whatever number we pick (5 mill, 10 mill, 8 mill, whatever) and if a player is being cut from a mandy, surpasses that number, then that owner takes whatever amount over the number we set, as a cap hit. If that player is under the number we set, then they cut with no cap hit like normal. So if a owner pays a player 15 mill in bonus for one year and wants to cut him as a mandy cut the next year and our number is 10 mill, then he would take a 5 mill cap hit on that player and the rent-a-player issue isn't as big of a issue. I personally like it.
