    Aug 18, 2010
Today the Cleveland Browns acquired a shutdown cornerback to play opposite of Joe Haden. It was part of a 4 player deal that sent Ahtyba Rubin and Jermaine Lawhorn to Kansas City for Brandon Flowers and Dontari Poe. Browns head coach Brenton Brown went on record to say, "We're thrilled to have Brandon and Dontati here in Cleveland and it should improve our pass defense tremendously." He was then asked about the departure of Rubin and Lawhorn. His response was, "Ahtyba has been an outstanding player for our organization, but I think we were both ready to move on." As for Lawhorn, "Jermaine is a special player and will be a valuable asset the the Chiefs organization, we just felt like we needed more experience in the secondary." With the Browns making alot of offseason moves, it's an exciting time to be a Browns fan. There is speculation that the Browns are still heavily involved in the free agent process and plan on adding more talent to their roster.
