    Climb the Ladder....NCAA 2011

I figured sooner or later we should start the discussion. We have plenty of time to figure out what teams we want etc. Lets start by finding out who is interested in sticking around. I realize we're about 3 months away from actually starting the new OD, but as things look now, who is in?

I am in, this is the only TF league I'm in at the moment and would love to continue it with 2011.

Same here. Would love to continue it though I definitely would like a different team (nothing wrong with Northwestern, but I hate the Big 10...)

I'm going to hang 'em up after 3+ seasons with South Florida.

You don't have to be the same team in 2011, if that's what you mean crow.

I had a good run in the Climb the Ladder dynasty, but I am going to take a leave of absence from NCAA for a little while once CTL runs it's course in NCAA 2010. Referred by my old high school pal EmmDotFrisk, this was the first Online League I participated in for Tradition Football and I was really impressed by it. From the 4th quarter battles with Hippo's Golden Gophers, to more recently getting carved by Uncleho's relentless passing attack it has really been fun. I'm sure I'll get the bug again to play NCAA soon, but not sure if I'm going to make the switch to PS3 next year or beyond. Thanks for running a tight ship Dakota and good luck to all.

Should I read into the Favre reference? Does that mean you'll be back on July 12th?

Well, that was gonna be my next question. What type of teams should we use? Climb the Ladder was designed to be a build-em up dynasty, so we can certainly stay with that theme....but we don't have to. We used all 6 BCS conferences this year, I'd prefer to use fewer, maybe 4 conferences next season, but that's just me. I guess we can open up the discussion, what do you guys want to do for 2011?

I am in. Great Dynasty to be a part of.

What are the requirements of choosing your team? Can we be any team? I am a University of Texas guy so it is really killing me being the coach of the much hated Aggies right now. So, I will most likely be changing teams to Texas if possible.

    LOL

    Just skipping "training camp" FTW!

EDIT: I'm all for being lower prestige teams again. I also would like to try fewer conferences.

I think the first thing we need to do is develop our structure for next year...what type of teams, which conferences, etc. Then we can draft or try to something which will make everyone happy.

I guess if you want Texas, your vote would be for power schools?

No, I'm good with building schools up. I like to take 3 or 4 star schools and build them into power schools.

My preference would be trying to build up 3* and 4* prestige programs.

I will be picking a team that runs the I-Formation.

    I'm definitely for 3* teams.

Like this list of most likely 3* and below teams (some may be above that and there may be a few added in):

ACC Big East Big Ten Big 12 CUSA MAC MWC PAC 10 SEC Sun Belt WAC IND
Clemson Connecticut Illinois Baylor ECU Akron Air Force Arizona Arkansas Arkansas St Fresno St Army
Duke Syracuse Indiana Iowa State Houston Ball State Colorado St Washington Kentucky FAU Hawai'i Navy
Maryland USF Iowa Kansas St Marshall Bowling Green New Mexico Washington St Miss St FIU Idaho
NC State Michigan St Memphis Buffalo San Diego St Ole Miss Middle Tennessee Louisiana Tech
Virginia Minnesota Rice Central Michigan TCU South Carolina North Texas Nevada

I think with the added pressure of trying to recruit for lower level teams, it'll be even more satisfying to build up a team and become prominent.

With the recruiting sliders, we will have some control over it (hopefully). It is definitely a challenge to recruit that first year, I think I had 1 player in the top 150 my first season at Colorado.

Mors, are those the actual 3 star teams from 2010 or your projections for 2011? My guess is Arkansas and Clemson will be 4's in 2011.

    Those are 2010 3* teams.

It's really hard to know whether a 3* team is going to go up in prestige or not. They seem to arbitrarily decide on some of them...
