"I know with coming to the biggest club in Mexico and one of the biggest in the world comes great responsibility and expectations, and I am more than happy to take on the challenge and prove that I might not be the most experience but I'm more than capable of completing the tasks at hand." "I aware of the fans displeasure of the sacking of Mister Herrera and know that It won't be easy replacing him, but I am honored to be able to manage such a talented group and know that with hard work and dedication positive results will be quick to follow."

Not the start manager Edgar Calderon was dreaming off. As he knows the pressure will only get greater following a poor showing by his new club. In a first half affected by the downpour botch clubs struggled to get any significant chances on the oppositions goal. Guayo10 seemed to have had the perfect pep talk at the break as his Boca team came out the stronger, hungrier side. Took only 8 minutes after the restart to see his team take the lead. On somewhat a lucky deflection as Juan Roman Riquelme headed on goal only to see the ball deflect of the back of teammate Gigliotti to beat the helpless "Moi" Munoz. Seven minutes after the hour Edgar Calderon made his fist changes of his career as he brought in substitutes Christian "el Hobbit" Bermudez and Luis Gabriel Rey but not much changed as his side seemed unable to cope with the oppositions stubborn defending. Late in the game with America pushing numbers forward, they were caught on the break and after a dazzling run by Cangele on the right side he was able to keep his cool and find Riquelme who simply placed it passed the American keeper to secure all 3 points for the visitors.

Bermudez Mexican Club America traveled to the Stadium of Light to take on ezio's Sunderland FC. Tight first 40 minutes with the visitors making K. Westwood make a couple diving saves to keep the scores leveled. It wasn't until 3 minutes from halftime that Paul Aguilar the mexican right back played a well placed cross to the head of the young mexican international Raul Jimenez who just guided it passed the diving keeper. The black cats kept looking for The United States captain Jozy Altidore with teasing crosses but it was not his night as he kept heading over the bar. They were made to pay with 15 minutes to play as the Sunderland defenders were beaten in the air again as Raul scored his brace to give Las Aguilas a two goal cushion. Once again Sunderland was dangerous on crosses but now America's back four seemed more prepared for them and Moises Munoz didn't see much action. Not until very late on that the visitors could finally relax as Layun off a perfectly placed pass from el Hobbit was able to beat Westwood for the third time and give Club America their first points of the season. Well played ezio best wishes for your upcoming games.

Pyatov Coming off a strong showing in a morale boosting 3-0 win against Sunderland the previous week Club America traveled to Ukraine to take on ktrgolfing's Shaktar Donetsk side with high hopes. But were quickly reminded that things wont be easy for them as the home side took the game to the visitors putting on the pressure early. Quality prevented the hosts from opening the scoring early on. Just when it seemed Club America had weathered the storm, the former young Athletico Mineiro star, Bernard, seemed to catch the whole America backline sleeping as he bulldozed his way through the defense to pass it beyond the diving Moi Munoz. Which ended up being the last kick of the half. A tighter second half followed, with both teams fighting to grab a hold of midfield. Six minutes from time it was again Raul Jimenez who came to America's rescue. When it seemed he had been dispossessed inside the box, as he stumbled to the ground the ball hit him and completely took the defender out of the play and left him one on one with a helpless Andriy Pyatov who could do nothing but take the ball out of his goal. Not the best game played but will happily take the result. Feel terrible for the Shaktar gaffer as it seemed the 3 points were in the bag for the home side.

Kuranyi (unassisted) Pressure mounts on Club America manager Edgar Calderon after another disappointing display in the Coppa Tradizione by his side in what once considered a fortress, the Estadio Azteca. Lady luck wasn't on America's side this time around as Russian side Dinamo Moskva came saw and conquered. From the outsehttp://forums.traditionsportsonline.com/threads/club-de-f%C3%BAtbol-am%C3%A9rica.105210/add-replyt the Belo-golubye (white-blues) played positive football and seemed like it was only a matter of time before they would take the lead. They did in the 30th minute as the former Chelsea and Anzhi winger Yuri Zhirkov found an unmarked A. Kokorin on the right hand side of the box who calmly curved it passed the stretching Moises Munoz. The hosts unable to respond to the Dinamo relentless attack were only kept in the game by an unbelievable performance from the mexican keeper. Save after save he single handedly kept them in the game. Lack of shooting accuracy almost cost the visitors when midway through the second half C. "el Hobbit" Bermudez found himself with one man to beat but was stopped by a great tackle by the Brazilian Douglas. K. Kuranyi made it two for the visitors as not even the Super goal keeper could save his side this time. Boos could be hear around the stadium as fans grow impatient after consecutive home defeats. Edgar Calderon tried to calm the fans during his post match press conference but knows the only thing that will satisfy the supporters will be positive results.
Americas unbeaten league streak reaches 3 games, in a hotly contested game between Atletico Mineiro and Mexican powerhouse Club America. Words were exchanged between both managers as the final whistle blew. One manager accusing the other of being a little too aggressive. Game officials intervened and prevented what could have been an ugly scene. America started off strong taken the game to the hosts but it wasn't until the 22' when an on target shot by C. Bermudez was saved by Victor only for the keeper to see R. Jimenez put in the rebound into an open net.It didn't take long for los Galos to respond as Pierre was tripped inside the America penalty box by a surprise starter A. Aldrete. The brazilian legend Ronaldinho stepped up and just managed to put it pass a diving Munoz who got his fingertips to it but the shot had too much power behind it. It was again C. Bermudez creating havoc eight minutes later who put the Eagles ahead with a shot similar to the one that help open the scoring but this time placement was perfect and nothing the Brazilian Victor could do. America seemed the most likely to score, but were denied by an inspired keeper. Jo had the Brazilians best chance of the second half only to see his header fly just inches from the crossbar. Great win for the mexican club who gives his manager some much needed breathing room after an unsuccessful cup run.
