Way too early talk for the summer window: Frenchie1916 Borussia Monchengladbach is close to signing U.S. international Fabian Johnson (Hoffenheim) and Ibrahima Traore (Stuttgart) on free transfers. Will Toronto FC be the hot MLS team to be selected in the next draft? Brazil's No. 1 goalkeeper, could soon be Toronto FC's starting netminder Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar could be heading across the pond on a loan deal. And of course the Ashley Cole rumors to NY Red Bulls.
Well, Stuttgart is 2 points above the drop zone in the Bundesliga and their best player, Vedad Ibisevic, is now suspended for the next 5 matches for violent conduct. VfB may be having a season-ending fire sale.
Never! And I won't stop wearing my Stuttgart Tricot, either. Although, if they do get relegated, I may be shopping for a new team for the first time in my TFS life.
I have a hard enough time scratching out wins with quality players like Ibisevic, Traore and Cacau. They get relegated, and they're going to sign shitbags like Freddy Adu. Nobody wants that!
Looks like Julio Cesar will be joining Toronto FC on loan! http://www.football-italia.net/45233/julio-cesar-toronto
It's a done deal. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...national-goalkeeper-julio-cesar-loan-queens-p
Hopefully he gets in a few penalties. Second only to Joe Hart in keeper moron status during those go-arounds. ...that's right
And then there's this... #DrogbaWatch http://www.sounderatheart.com/sound...26208/sounders-offered-didier-drogba-contract
Buuuurn! TBF, with Fulham going through a manager change and relegation and all that, they needed to play guys that had a future with the team. The loan never really made sense to begin with. Would've been much better served by spending preseason with Seattle and actually training with his team, but whatever. He didn't get hurt so it was a success, lol. Just sucks he's one of only 2 MLSers that got called up for that Ukraine match, assuming it still happens, so he'll miss the opener against KC.
A month old but an entertaining read on the summer window and potential future destinations of available players
I saw that. Weird that EA went ahead and shipped him back to Seattle before his loan was up, considering it normally takes them a couple weeks to fix the MLS rosters. He doesn't play for weeks then the last day eligible he gets 90 vs Chelsea... whatever, one more match to get through healthy...
That's just silly. He's 22. It's like going to Russia. Why wouldn't you stay in either England, Germany, France, or Italy where there is competition for the most part? I'd say 80% of the teams in those leagues would want to sign him. Not a dig at Gala or Turkey BESHIKTAS, but I just don't get the move if it happened. You talk about Dempsey... I wonder if I will ever get the chance to play with Maxime Lopez. He's only 16 but sounds like a stud everyone in Europe is on the hunt for.
I'm not a Galatasaray fan ( as you can tell by my username ) , but Galatasaray is one of those teams that constantly play in European competitions , especially in CL. And, they have been having some success. Have you checked their recent squad? I don't think you did. They have Sneijder, Bruma who is thought to be next Portuguese star, Telles one of the best Brazilian left back in near future, Muslera is one of the best goalkeeper in Europe right now, young Turkish CB Semih -- Big European teams are closely watching him which they should. And so on... Would you like to play in CL constantly and make good money at the same time , or play for team in some other European mediocre team and pay twice as much tax as you would in Turkey, and make less money? I hope I could explain that well
