Coach Bubba Gump was hired halfway through the season for the 1-5 Rebels. Coach Gump was a state winning tight end in Allen High School, then went on to coach the Southlake Carroll High School football team winning 4 straight championships. He is known for tuning athletes such as Kris Brown, Garrett Hartley, Chase Daniel, and Greg McElroy. He was offered the job at UNLV and jumped at the chance to coach at the collegiate level. He rely's on his ground game alot, even sometimes too much. He is a wizard on defense throwing defenses at opponents that will rattle their brains. He has never cared about seniority, he will play the guys who are working hard and leaving it all on the field. He has no problem benching a starter for laziness. He's hereto win and expects no less (some people call him arrogant). While he hates losing he uses it to get even better.
