Coach Mexi has left Western Michigan for the breener pastures of the Big East (cue irony). He has accepted the job of HC for the Mountaineers. Mexi leaves the Broncos with the most wins by any coach going 26-7 in his three years there. He brought them their first MAC title ever and a BCS win. But he WMU couldnt bring Mexi what he wants most, an AQ status.

Mexi - "It's hard leaving this team seeing as where they have come from til now. This program is on the rise. But they just dont have the facilitates to compete. This hurt us in recruiting big time players in order to make constant BCS runs."

Things wont be easy. West Virgina fired their coach for a reason. The team went 2-9 last season, and finished dead last in the Big East. Who knows where they are at in recruiting. Coach Mexi has his work cut out for him in Morgantown.
