Figured I'd make a thread for all of us to talk about the "real" NCAA football.

Heading out to the UNC vs James Madison game at 3:30 in about an hour or so. College football is back baby! :D

Wow. My boy Bryn Renner went 22-23 passing for 277 yards and 3 total TDs. Great way to start the year Heels!

Virginia Tech destroyed App State today. I knew we were going to win but I was surprised it was by so much. David Wilson showed the rest of the ACC how dangerous he is and Im glad to say that Beamer Ball is back, at least for this week.

On an FCS note I just got back from the ODU football game. They beat Campbell 41 to 14. It is there third year in the FCS and they went 9-3 the first year and 8-4 the 2nd. This is there first year in the CAA (the SEC of the FCS) and I'm to watch them play since I won't be at tech every weekend.

Campbell is awful lol. They literally just created a football team two or three years ago. I only know that because when I visited their campus in high school, they were asking everyone to try out :p

Haha I know they created a team 4 years ago; however, ODU created a football team 3 years ago and is already miles ahead of them lol

Lol. Very true. The fact that theyre a private school with a lack of athletic backing doesnt help their cause. I mean, their basketball arena literally would hold just 978 people before they recently finished a slightly larger one.

(Credit that knowledge to college hoops 2k8, lol)

It's true. In our dual legacy, he always had 100% attendance because of how few people fit.

Robo QB. Sliders need adjusted Lol.

Anyone watch the Auburn-Utah State game? That was a crazy back and forth game. I had to go to work with about 2:30 to play and Auburn down like 28-38. By the time I got to work, Auburn had won 42-38.

Nebraska looked like crap today. Way too many stupid mistakes and miscues. If we play like that against Fresno State, we will lose.

Just got back from Charlotte to watch ECU vs SC. I was a little worried at first, but we rallied around Garcia in the second half.

Side note; ECU's brand of the spread offense is a snooze fest. Every play they'd line up 4 wide and each player would run a flat to the outside or a quick slant. They went vertical (20 yards each time) twice. Just plain boring.

Yeah Ive seen ECU play multiple times against Tech. It is just not enjoyable to watch them use the spread.

Maryland's Helmets = worst thing to ever be on a football field. Horrific.

I agree. Horrible. They now have like 23 alternate uniforms because the Under Armour founder played for Maryland. They're trying to become the Oregon of the East

Yeah. But Oregon doesn't make horrible helmets. They just like jerseys with weird shoulder designs, which Maryland took as well.

Toledo has the ball with 3:08 to go, down 5 points. If Toledo wins, that is literally the 2nd best possible thing that could happen for me today.

Lol yeah we were all mad about them winning in our dynasty. And after advance they're 9-1 and 20th or something like that.

UNC almost sent me over the edge today. They had 5 turnovers while Rutgers had 0, yet they still won 24-22. Bryn Renner literally never throws regular incompletions. His incompletions are always INTS. Lol.

Stats for Renner last week: 22-23 277 yards 2 TDs 1 INT

    This week: 20-26 273 yds 1 TD 3 INTs

So, Renner is 42-49 (86% completion percentage). He's thrown more INTs (4) than just regular incompletions (3). Lol.

Don't know if any of you were watching, but USC-UGA was another instant classic. We held on for a tough win in Athens by scoring pretty much every way possible. Fake punt run for a 60+ yard TD. Pick Six. Fumble recovered for a TD. Just a really exciting game to watch.

Really pulling for Michigan right now for you UM fans.

Georgia scored with 2 minutes left but Lattimore ran out the clock. What a champ.
