The Gameday bus is back on the road after a series of weeks with mechanical problems....flat tires, blown engines, and a busted radiator couldn't stop us from making this trip to Columbia, SC.

Alabama is no stranger to big games nor are they unfamiliar with having the target on their backs. The #1 Crimson Tide started the season atop the league and have continued their reign into week 6. Coach JFunk has dominated the competition with only one game that was reasonably close, that being the Okie State game. With the Tide coming into Columbia, the Tide face another stiff challenge. The Gamecock fans will be loud and the atmosphere will be electric.

South Carolina is also not a stranger to big games. They have already taken down a very good Georgia Bulldog team, their only set back of the season, and lost a crazy one against SEC West foe, Auburn. The ole Ball coach is out with an undisclosed leave, so they promoted Coordinator Coach FSUPenguin to take over the reigns. Coach Noles is one of the best assistants in the country, and his salary shows. He is a brilliant mind on both sides of the ball and can really get his teams up for the big games.

You know, when I look at this game it comes down to one thing for South Carolina; can they stop the stable of backs that Alabama brings to the table? Mark Ingraham and Trent Richardson are easily two of the best backs in college football and they are both on the same team. Any coach in the country would die to have either one of these guys lining up in the back field for them. For South Carolina, Stephen Garcia is going to have to find Alshon Jeffery and these two are going to have to have a big day to open up the running game for Marcus Lattimore. Lattimore is a do it all back that can hurt you between the tackles or out of the back field receiving. I think Alabama has the edge in this one and are going to be just too much for the Gamecocks, but this one is going to be closer than the experts think

You are absolutely right Kirk. Alabama is going to pound the ball all over South Carolina. But don't forget about Julio Jones. Greg McElroy is going to hand it off, hand it off, and when South Carolina least expects it, **whistle sound**, then over the top on the PA to Julio Jones. The Gamecocks wont know what hit em. Alabama wins this one going away.
