Denver, CO - After a short Spring Training, the Colorado Rockies have realized some major holes needing to be filled. The Rockies infielders played very well and have the most depth at these positions. On the other hand the Outfielders played sub par and will need some considerable depth. To try and gain traction in those positions the Rockies have announced that the following players are to be placed on the trade block.

    Position Players

    SS Troy Tulowitzki
    2B Jose Lopez
    3B Ian Stewart

    Positions of Need

OF - Speedy with good fielding
OF - Right or switch hitting corner outfielder
SP - Left handed, spot specialist

Twins have interest in Tulowitzki; possibly Lopez or Stewart. I may have a speedy outfielder that you're seeking in rookie Ben Revere. I don't have much that I can deal from a pitching standpoint, but perhaps we can package something to make things work - only if you are interested, of course.

I have Fernando Martinez who is a speedy corner OF but he is a left handed hitter. I'm interested in Jose Lopez as 2B is my biggest hole.

    What'll take for Tulo?

Take a look at the Tigers and let me know...

I've got Magglio that I'd spare for him, younger speed guys that could be packaged as well, and could send a lefty arm if you'd be interested.

Would Jason Kubel and Ben Revere interest you enough to consider?...

Kubel is not. However, 2B/OF Matt Tolbert is. He is also available.

Any interest in SP Liriano (L), OF Kubel (R), and SS/2B Casilla (S) for Tulo and a lesser rated SP/OF?

on paper that looks ok, but I will need to check on Casilla, as my infield is stacked. Casilla would prob be sent to AAA. In regards to players I could see sending your way...

    RF Ryan Spillborghs
    SP John Maine

Understood. Well, we could take Casilla out of the equation then and just make something else work involving Liriano and Tulowitzki. I'd have to take a look at Maine as well.

I looked at Spillborghs and Maine and not really interested in either. Taking Casilla out of the equation, would you consider sending Tulo for Liriano and Kubel straight up?

    RF Magglio Ordonez RH
    SS Jhonny Perralta RH
SP Phil Coke LH and RP Brayan Villareal RH (throws mid/high 90's)

For Tulo and a low end SP or middle of the road reliever(preferably a lefty)?
