For the duration of the franchise, the Texans have been a thorn in the Colts side. Due to their strong power run game and their stingy defense the Texans have always played the Colts well. This game would be no different as it once again would come down to the 4th quarter to decide the game. The game would start out with the Colts receiving the ball and putting together a time consuming 5 minute drive ending with a 3 yard scramble by Andrew Luck to take the 7-0 lead. The Texans would respond with their own 5 minute drive ending with a 2 yard td pass to TE Crabtree to tie the game. The Colts would respond right before the half with a 8 yard run by Freddie Barclay who put together consecutive 100 yard games for the first time this season. The third quarter would be quiet as both defenses would keep the opposing offenses at bay. At the start of the 4th quarter, the Colts would connect on a 3rd and goal from the 6 on a screen pass to Freddie Barclay for his 2nd score of the day and take a 21-7 lead. The Texans would come fighting back, led by their QB Bili who was on fire and would connect with TE Ausberry from 10 yards out to pull within 7. From there, the Colts would control the clock for the remaining 3 minutes and would eventually run out the clock to ensure the season sweep of the Texans.
