The Colts welcomed division rival Jacksonville Jaguars to Lucas Oil Stadium for the first of their 2 matchups this season. The teams appear to be going in different directions as the Colts came in winners of 2 in a row and the Jags came into this game losing 2 in a row. After a slow start to the season, the Colts defense appears to be regaining the form that has led to them being a top 10 defense in the first 2 seasons as they would pick off Ryen Irwin 7 times and sack him 3 times. The Colts would get on the board first behind a 1 yard touchdown run by Bernard Pierce and would later add another touchdown on a pass to Coby Fleener in his first game back from injury to go up 14-0 after 1. The Jags would open the third quarter with a 102 yard kickoff return in which Darby went right up the middle untouched for the score. From there on out it was all Colts as they would score the next 17 points to take a commanding 31-7 lead. Irwen would not give up and lead his team down field for a score with just over 2 minutes remaining in the game but after a failed 2 pt conversion and onsides attempt, the Colts would kneel the clock out for the win KEY NOTES OLB Shea McClellin finally had his coming out game as he would record his first sack of the season as well as an interception but would get hurt late in the 4th quarter and is scheduled to miss about 4 weeks. Last year's starter Bjoern Werner is expected to step into the starting OLB role opposite Koa Misi. GG CHUNKNESS see you in Jacksonville!
