Coach Pagano celebrates a huge victory and now turns his eyes to the Super Bowl
The Colts knew 2 things about the Browns; 1) they had one of the best defenses in the league and 2) Trent Richardson is a man child. Luckily for the Colts, they have an even better defense(statistically) and HB Bernard Pierce is a former MVP. The game plan for the Colts coming into this showdown for the AFC Title was simple, contain Richardson and force unproven QB Tyrod Taylor to convert on 3rd and long. The game plan worked as the Colts jumped out to a quick lead they would never relinquish and would pick off the young QB 3 times.

The Browns won the toss and elected to defer until the 2nd half. A big return by TY Hilton would give the Colts the ball near midfield to start. They would waste no time as the offense came out clicking on all cylinders and Bernard Pierce would punch it in from 1 yard for the early 7-0 lead. On the Browns 1st possession, they would be faced with a 3rd and about 5 and Taylor would make his first mistake of the day and would be picked off by CB Jonte Green in their own territory. It only took a few plays for the Colts to capitalize as Luck would find WR Denarius Moore across the middle for a 8 yard score and 14-0 lead midway through the 1st quarter.

The Browns would gather themselves and show why they were the #1 said as they put together a great drive which would be capped off on a 2 yard run by Trent Richardson to pull within 7. However, the Colts would put together possibly the drive of the game on their next possession, milking 4 minutes off the clock and converting first down after 1st down before being faced with a 4th and goal from the 1 just after the 2 minute warning. The Colts elected to go for it and Luck snuck in from 1 to stretch the lead back to 14. The Browns would get the ball back before the half and would tack on a field goal to make it 21-10 heading into the half.

The Browns opened the 2nd half with the ball but could not put together any points. On the Colts first possession of the half, Bernard Pierce would strike again, this time from 88 yards as he would truck a defender on his way to the endzone to give the Colts a comfortable 28-10 lead about midway through the 3rd quarter. Another Taylor interception would give the Colts the ball in Browns territory to start the 4th but they would only be able to get 3 as the Browns defense would make a stand. Taylor would throw another interception on their next possesion as they would be forced to pass and Barth would convert on another field goal all but sealing the game to make it 34-10 midway through the 4th. The Browns would add a late score and would not convert the 2 pt conversion and after not getting the onside kick, the Colts would run the clock out and leave with a 34-16 victory.

The Colts will now face the Seahawks in the Superbowl. The Seahawks won their only meeting in season 1.
