Indianapolis, IN - Dejected Colts fans looked on in disbelief during week 13 as the visiting Dolphins (5-6) led the entire game against their beloved Colts (8-3). For the first time since week 1, the self-touted high-powered Colts offense was held to under 20 points. In fact, the Colts offense didn't reach the end zone until the final two minutes of the game. The game came down to playmakers on offense and defense for the Dolphins.

In the first quarter, Dolphins veteran linebacker and defensive captian, Karlos Dansby, forced a fumble inside the Red Zone. The turnover led to a Renee Bullock 97 yard TD reception and gave the Dolphins a 7-0 first quarter lead. The Colts forced a first half turnover of their own intercepting Andy Dalton at the Dolphins 35 yard line. However, the Colts offense would stall and they would manage only two field goals in the second quarter to cut the Dolphins lead to 7-6 at halftime.

Another key defensive play occurred in the third quarter as Dolphins linebacker Gary Guyton stripped Delone Carter of the ball. Safety Tavarius Jones returned the fumble 70 yards for a defensive TD. Momentum shifted back in the Dolphins favor as their lead increased to 14-6 following the turnover. The Colts responded and managed another successful drive in the third quarter, but once again, they were limited to a Dave Rayner FG which brought the score to 14-9.

Andy Dalton would strike big again to open the fourth quarter hitting Deonte Young for a 63 yard catch-and-run TD following a missed tackle by former Dolphin DB, (I never would have traded you) Vontae Davis. The score would put the Dolphins ahead 21-9 with just over four minutes left to play. The Colts needed to score quickly, so they ran their hurry-up offense to gain ground on the defense. It worked as Andrew Luck would hit his TE, Coby Fleener, on an 11 yard strike over the middle. A successful extra point attempt narrowed the deficit back to 21-16 in favor of the Dolphins.

With just over two minutes remaining and two timeouts, the Colts entrusted their defense to stop the Dolphins offense and elected to kick the ball deep versus an onside kick. The decision proved fatal as the Dolphins caught the Colts defense off guard. Andy Dalton anticipated the Colts would bring extra defenders to stop the run. He gave a look to Deonte Young who knew it was his time to take on Vontae Davis once more; this time to the outside. Dalton put the ball where only Young could reach it who, in turn, went to the highest point out leaping Davis for the completion at the Colts 37 yard line. Out of timeouts and with just over one minute remaining, the 50 yard reception was the dagger in any comeback attempt by the Colts. Andy Dalton knelt out the time remaining ensuring the Dolphins the road victory over the Colts, 21-16.

The important win puts the Dolphins back to .500 and back in the Wild Card hunt. They will face off against the always difficult Jacksonville Jaguars (3-9) in week 14.

Good game, James, and good luck with the rest of your season. cry_havoc

Your own cheerleaders are saying "Relax coach...its just a win"
They also emphasized the Colts still lead the AFC...
besides, the Colts nutrional diet helps them sleep quite relaxed at night.
