I never really got into them, but I got tired of reading forums about The Walking Dead (the TV show) and people who had read the comics spoiling the story. So I pirated issues 1-90 and made a weekend of it.

    Bad. Ass.

But anyway, I was reading the QnA's at the end of every issue and Robert Kirkman (TWD writer/creator) mentioned Crossed. You guys gotta check this out, if you can stomach it. It's really gory and perverse but it all fits in with the story.

They're doing a fairly mild version of Crossed right now online for free here:
    http://www.crossedcomic.com/category/the-webcomic/

Also, check out Severed. It's a 6 or 7 issue 'mini' and is the coolest thing I have ever read.

Anyway, off to read this week's installment and thought I'd let you guys puke your guts up, too. I guess I kinda read comics a little bit now  , but no super hero bullshit, only the snobby indie stuff.

This week I've been laid up in a recliner with nothing really to do. I watched all of season one of the Walking Dead. It was pretty awesome. Now I want to watch season 2 but I can't find it anywhere. Same with Breaking Bad. I finally got caught up on all that Netflix has (first 3 seasons) but they're about to start season 5 and i can't find season 4 anywhere.

But comic books? Nah. I feel dirty walking into GameStop. I'd probably off myself if I ever found myself in a comic shop. Last week I was at Target buying my kid a Spiderman toy. The cashier started asking me all this crap about Marvel or DC or some crap. He looked soooo disappointed when I told him I've never read any comics...my kid just likes the spiderman cartoons.

I've never been in a comic book store, I've just recently downloaded the few GRAPHIC NOVELS I wanna read (I shoulda been more clear in my language). I could never read any Marvel or DC or anything like that.

Big difference between Game of Thrones novels and your comic books. And I believe the last book I read and the one I rec'd to you was a WW2 book. Now let this thread die.

Ok. Fantasy novels. Your point? I'll let you know when I'm looking at frames of thought bubbles and cartoons.

You're just reading about Orcs and Wizards and magic is all. If the indie horror graphic novels I'm reading are 'comic books' then you read 'fantasy novels'.

Full Moon Fever sorry to direct my ire at you but you're one of the few people I have ammunition against.

I will admit to reading like all 113 editions of the Hardy Boys (and the originals are SO much better than the new ones) after I taught myself to read when I was 4.

Always a good idea to use the peanut gallery as a barometer of your nerdiness/homosexuality
