Iowa wins the Big Ten Championship with a great defensive effort. Iowa got on the board first 3-0 late in the first quarter after a good drive stuttered and they settled for the 40 yard FG. Ohio State would answer with a 21 yard FG of their own set up after Iowa QB Adam Reese threw an interception. On the next possession the Hawkeyes were riding HB DeAndre Johnson on another solid drive when Reese read blitz and audibled to a quick pass. It was the right call and he hit WR Don Shumpert on a quick slant and he took it 37 yards for the first TD of the game and the 10-3 lead. Ohio State tacked on another 21 yard FG with less than a minute in the first half that put the game at 10-6 at the half.

Ohio State had the first possession of the second half and QB Braxton Miller threw to the sideline against man coverage on the first play and Iowa CB Marcus McFadden jumped it and returned the interception 36 yards for the TD and a 17-6 lead. Iowa LB James Morris would grab another interception for an Iowa defense that also had 3 sacks on the day. Iowa added a FG in the fourth quarter to extend the lead to the 20-6 final score.

    Good game abolishthefed.

    #2 Oregon - 24
    #3 USC - 7

Oregon wins another PAC 12 Championship with strong defense. This is probably the best defense I have had in NCAA. They are ranked only B+ but they play like they are A+. They forced 5 turnovers and sacked the USC quarterback 8 times. Taylor Hart had 4.5 on the sacks. He is now owns the all-time sack record in Oregon history with 47.5. Christian French added 3 sacks. Troy Hill was able to make 1 interception and recovered 2 fumbles.

The Ducks used a heavy dose of the ground game to move the ball. Lache Seastrunk started but was knocked out for 2 quarters before returning and finishing with 63 yards. Deanthony Thomas picked up the slack and rumbled for 114 yards and 3 TDs. Nick James led the receivers with 4 catches for 79 yards.

Oregon will be going to another BCS National Championship game to face maybe there toughest opponent yet in LSU.

    LSU - 21
    Georgia - 7

Played it against the CPU, wish our first game hadn't froze bravejaf... it was a great game up til that point...

Anyway, this win wasn't pretty. The offense failed to score a TD - the only 6 point play came as a result of a Gore field goal return for a TD (his second of the season). Macklin made 4/4 field goals and the defense was able to get a safety. Mettenberger struggled, then left the game with an undisclosed injury. Randall did not do much better. Blue did not play well and was eventually yanked from the game in favor of Gore who has been explosive all season and has shown great promise in the couple of carries he's received this season.

The defense was stellar, allowing only 7 points to the explosive Bulldogs offense. The defense forced 4 INTs and brought the QB down 7 times. Aaron Murray completed under 40% of his passes and aside from one long run from Crowell, the Georgia run game was equally ineffective.

This win essentially guarantees the Tigers a berth in the title game against Oregon.
