Preview : Pac 12 Championship Game

#6 California Golden Bears vs #17 Usc Trojans

the sonny dykes era has started off with a bang #6 11-2 California has continued to shock the world . CAL has come into its own with a 5 game win streak going into the Pac 12 Championship vs 9-3 Usc team. This will be a rematch of an earlier game during the season in witch the Cal Bears domanatied the trojans on their earlier visit to Mermorial Stadiuam in Berkeley. Both teams are evenly matched ... last time SC qb browne could not maintain control of the ball throwing two ints

sonny said " we are still working to get better sc is goin to come in and give us their best shot and we will respond "

The second time is not a charm for SC

    #6 California Golden Bears 48 - #17 Usc Trojans 42

The bears started off slow but once the was the bear was awakened it was pretty much over. These Bears were on mission from Day 1 " it was all about competing and getting better every game make to a Rose Bowl and winning it " said Coach Sonny Dykes

Qb Zack Kline came in cold and threw a pick on the first play from scrimmage to Sc OLB Morgan Breslin
[IMG] aka to nobody.. thus he was quickly pulled by OC Tony Franklin for the JR QB Austin Hinder who came in and did great job through out the rest of the game. Kline was called to come in when Hinder needed a play or two off. The Bears Defense made adjustments and shut down the sc offense in the 2nd qtr not allowing another score for the rest of half ... the 24 unanswered points by the bears offense lead by hinder halftime score 24 - 14 bears

the Trojans came out the half ready to go and the adjustments they made worked SC scored on the opening drive and the bears answered with nice TD catch by Sr TE Spencer Hagen for a 20yd catch

    Players of the Game

OFFENSE : RS JR QB Austin Hinder 14-20 150 yds 3 Tds
DEFENSE : SR NT Deandre Coleman 5 Tkls 2 Sacks

***Helmet Star *** goes to JR CB Kameron Jackson 2 Int one of which was a timely Pick 6 returned 77 yds at the 5:04 mark of the 4th qtr making the score 45-28 ... the Bears never looked back sc scored 14 in the 4th qtr but the 2 fgs by Sr K Vince D' Amato were the difference makers that sc would not over come.
