Please post in here regarding any rules adjustments, slider adjustments or any other changes you feel should be discussed for next season.

At this point, I'm thinking I may bump up pass blocking for both the CPU and users 5 points to try and allow more time for QB's to find WR's in the passing game.

There are also a couple of you (@cheez and JFace907) who have mentioned that they'd like to move to 8 minute quarters. I'm willing to do so if everyone feels like it would be a good change, but I won't go any higher than 8 minutes.

I am on the fence on 8min ... user gays feel short and cpu games feel long .... so I dunno, I think its damned if you do or don't in that regard, I would love to see INT get turned down a bit, I feel CPU makes too many outstanding pics, but I am not a big ti ker with sliders kinda guy overall

i would say stay at 7 minutes and keep the sliders as close to default as possible as that is what they are in user games. unless you just want to neuter the cpu, i'm cool with that.

If we neuter the cpu will we put a little fake sack on it for psychological purposes? Lol

I don't want to see your dogs groin every time I come into this thread. My perversion only goes so far.

Im for 8 minute quarters, 7 just seem too short, not enough plays, but am fine either way. Im cool with the bumps for pass blocking. Don't care about the int sliders, that should work itself out as we move on with the OD and players play the way they are supposed to (at least im hoping)

I'm liking 7 minutes just because it saves 15 minutes that I have to find in a day, and as fast as we're moving that's a pretty big deal for me. But when you run the ball a lot the time flies off the clock, and yeah User games do seem really short. I have noticed its easier to go into panick mode.

I'm going to post the total number of plays for each team tonight (since I have a bye), that may help determine if we need to make a change.

I think we will move to 8 minute quarters for season 2 and see how it goes. Currently, most of us are in the 43-46 plays per game range through about week 8, while the CPU is getting approximately 60 plays or so a game in the simulated contests.

We'll try it for season 2 and if things look out of whack then we'll move back to 7 minutes in season 3.

I also did some looking at the sacks by our teams compared to the CPU. Our QB's on average are being sacked 1 time every 6 passing attempts, while the 5 worst CPU QB's at being sacked are getting sacked 1 time every 8 attempts. Considering that those are the worst teams, I think that a bump of 5 points to user pass blocking will be done for season 2.

I also will be increasing the penalty sliders across the board by 10 points, with the exception of the pass interference penalties, which I will be bumping up 20 points.

10 pts is too much for roughing sliders. I tried that and there's a penalty every other play if you're within 2 feet of the qb. 5 pts makes a dramatic enough difference. I am getting 2-3 roughing penalties/game with 55.

Fair enough - I'll start with 5 point adjustments.

I think PI needs to go up more than 5 though dru - it is completely non existant in this game.
