Since I'm new here, I'm not quite sure the exact content that all you fellas do round these parts.

I LOVE providing content, and bringing stuff like THIS to the table on a weekly basis (the GameDay threads are my baby, I'm gonna toot my own here :p)

In the leagues I used to run in the 11 and 12 cycle, everything revolved around my GameDay threads. We'd have weekly voting to determine the game of the week, performance of the week, etc. Just curious if I'd be allowed to resurrect my GameDay threads for this league IrishBearcat

I was a little bit busier than planned this week but I'll finally have some time to get the forums setup tomorrow. Since we'll be waiting until July 17th to start the league figured no need to rush things.

I like you ideas, those look great. What about the rest of you guys, any thoughts/ideas on this topic?

I think everyone should take a look at my Cal team thread. I've seen many people do stuff like that here at TSO and wasn't sure if I'd find it rewarding. I have to say even though it does take a little time I'm very glad I did it. It's very cool to go back and look at from time to time.

I'd highly recommend everyone giving it a shot for your '13 team.

Where do you go to get your tables made at?

    I crafted them myself.

If you want to use my exact tables it's easy to copy them. Go to the thread, hit reply on the post with the table you want, and it will put the table in a quote as if you were going to reply. Take out the quotes, edit the table with the data you want, and then simply copy/paste that data in your own thread.

Is this set in stone? My guess would be that we will have named rosters by the time the game releases with the season pass if thats what we are waiting for. I can understand wanting to wait a week to learn the game, but I also think many will be very eager to get this thing rolling (this guy).

I think the 13th would be better, let everyone start out on the weekend. But also I think there are some people out of town so that's one reason we're doing the 17th.

Edit : and to allow time for people to get their games from online orders.

We can wait a week, that's not that long. Most leagues aren't starting as soon as the game drops. We want to make sure there aren't any major bugs and that we have a really good roster set.

True, patch 1 will fix some things, but we can find some major cheeser flaws and set some specific rules to keep from the accidental money plays that slip through.

Truth. I've always waited at least a week after release before starting any of my ODs. Giving guys time to get acclimated to gameplay is important, and I think finding the right roster set is a VERY underrated part of the process. A good/bad roster set can make or break the first couple of years for a few teams in the dynasty.

Plus, that week after the game comes out, people are DYING to get their ODs started, which means if you give it time and wait that week the league will get off to an AMAZING start with everyone providing content and being very active to start the first season. I've noticed that the first few weeks of the season FLY by (usually 24 hours or less advances) if you let the anticipation build that final week.

Yeah I'm not sure the exact date I'll have the game, it definitely won't be release day, but won't be as late as the 17th

    LSU -3.5

After a shaky 2-and-a-half games to start the season, LSU found it's groove in the 2nd half against Mississippi State in their victory last week. It was the first of the year for LSU, who welcomes the undefeated Michigan Wolverines, fresh off a victory against USC. The Wolverines are no doubt talented, but aren't ranked and rely heavily on a few key guys. If LSU can contain Denard and Shaw, Michigan will be forced to use some options they don't regularly rely on. This all falls on LSU though, as their play in the 1st half will most likely shape the outcome of the game.

I love the GameDay threads, makes the league that much more immersible for the members. When I first started doing them, it took me a solid 2-3 hours for ONE GameDay thread, which was pretty much every third day lol

I've got it down to a science now and can crank it out in 30 minutes or less. Terrible movie.
