Fever, maybe you'd like it more if it was written in Tolkien style?

Nah I don't fault anyone for picking us low. We have sucked the last couple of years. I hope we turn it around.

But I don't know that I agree with a lot of the other rankings. He couldn't have had OU's dick any deeper in his throat. It was creative but a little over the top for CMac.

Well he didn't have 300 pages to turn the coaches into McCarthy characters. I loved every last pretentious word of it.

And I didn't particularly care for OU's story. He basically made us the savages from Blood Meridian, which is cool, but I loved the coach detail with Mack Brown and Charlie Wise and Holgerson.

Yeah I only read OU/WVU/Tech. I'll read the rest next time I take a dump.

What do you expect out of your Sooners when Notre Dame travels to Norman? Curious of your analysis since you follow them pretty closely.

OU doesn't lose in Norman. Ever.

Pretty sure they lost to Texas Tech last season at home, don't quote me on that though.

That wasn't actually written by CM anyway, just his style. Gay

As a Notre Dame fan we've experienced much much more devastating losses on our home turf. I think our home record is something like 17-16 in the last 33 home games. So much for home-field advantage!

I'm going to rationalize the Sooners losing to a 5-7 Tech team to mean ND could have a shot to win. (y)

Did you really think Cormac wrote that?

Yes. Your best chance vs OU is if you suck like Texas Tech did. That way, we don't care or get up for the game until it's too late. They'll be up for ND. I predict a long day for Kelly and Co.

Thanks for your reply, I'd love to hear a little more in depth knowledge because I assume you follow them closely as I do my Irish.

I think USC and Oklahoma are two surefire losses on our schedule. I'm hoping Golson will be battle-tested enough by then to run the offense effectively; we'll need to score to have a shot to win. We're starting a converted WR at CB and another true freshman athlete at corner. I expect both SC and OU receiving cores to tear up the Irish secondary pretty good.

Also, I was really hoping Landry Jones and Matt Barkeley would declare for the draft. Makes arguably the toughest schedule in the country even tougher. :(

Why would anybody think that McCarthy himself wrote that?

No I didn't. Too much rehashing of book characters and like I said, over the top. And why the F would Cormac McCarthy write a big XII? Lots of red flags there.
