NEBRASKA (AP)- Down 17-3 in the 1st quarter, the old Coach Moreecemos would have put this game in Martinez's hands, airing it out for the rest of the game until hopefully they would get back in this game. But coach stuck with his run game, which has been the balancer for the Cornhuskers all game and it proved to be key in Nebraska's comeback in this game. Nebraska seemed to hold the advantage with their offensive line all game, chewing up clock and having a big advantage, going 6-10 on 3rd downs. "Martinez had all day back there to throw and he ate them alive," said coach Moreecemos. Coach called a great game throughout and marched up and down the field at will. They held the T.O.P advantage 20:51 to 11:09 in this game. "Two of OSU's scores were quick big plays by RB Jamaal Berry...so we knew we had to do a better job of containing him," said coach Moreecemos. Berry broke a pair of 82 yard runs for TD in the 1st quarter alone but only rushed for 31 yards for the rest of the game. The OSU offense couldn't get into a flow with the lack of having the ball and it showed with the offensive line being out of sync and Braxton Miller throwing 3 INT's on the game as well. Martinez meanwhile shined. He threw for 428yds and 3TD's and ran for one as well. TE Dennis Scott and WR Steve McCauley had over 100 yards receiving, with Scott being a big target, catching 9 passes for 129yds. Heisman hopeful Trey Smith had a strong game, rushing for 101yds and 2TD's while catching 2 passes for 77yds and a TD. "This was a strong offensive effort from us and I'm glad the boys played hard and executed the gameplan...they were brilliant today out there...this is all on the kids that suit up and not the coaches," said moreecemos. This big time win puts Nebraska in the title game against UCF! gg The Parrothead.
