What started out as a back and forth scoring affair turned one sided as the Dallas Defense settled down and focused on playing like the #1 ranked unit they are. The Eagles presented their toughest challenge as the #1 offense and after scoring 14pts in the 2nd qtr and in line to receive the opening kickoff of the 2nd half, the Cowboys knew they had their work cut out for them. But good pressure from the DL (3 sacks, 4 TFL) and the re-emergence of CB J. McCourty (INT) kept the Eagles' high powered offense in check in the 2nd half. Philly appeared to out of sync as they played the majority of the game without WR D. Jackson, who left early with a shoulder injury.
On offense Dallas got a solid effort from the OL and RB D. Murray (6.1 avg) while D. Harvin kept the D honest with accurate passes. Well, except for one in which he tried to take advantage of one on one coverage. But CB B. Boykin played the ball nicely and came down with the pick (user), giving the Eagles the ball back early in the 2nd qtr. Dallas got TD runs from Murray and Roach in the 3rd to put the game out of reach for Philly, 28-14.
In week 7, Dallas returns home to host the Panthers while the Eagles head out west to take on the Cardinals.
