The Cowboys trip to the Sunshine State in week 7 was not what the team expected. 12 turnovers, critical drops and a lack of 3rd down conversions resulted in a 66-24 drubbing at the hands of the Bucs. Back at home and with the bye week approaching, they knew they had to get things turned around with a very difficult stretch of games coming up. Mission accomplished. The defense showed up. The offense didn't commit a turnover. And the special teams contributed as well. Funny how easy a win comes when you hit on all 3 phases of the game.

The defense was led by DT B. Mebane and OLB A. Spencer, each with 2 sacks, as they sacked QB M. Stafford 7 times and forced 2 turnovers.
The offense was led by T. Romo, who spread the ball around for 193yds and 2 TDs. J. Washington continued his strong running, adding 84yds. The only miscue a missed block that allowed a safety late in the 2nd qtr.
And the special teams contributed by converting a 54yd FG attempt and just barely missing on a 57yd attempt.

Dallas will have their bye in week 9 before facing the NFC East leading Eagles in week 10...
