How can you tell we're getting down to the nitty gritty? Every game feels like a 12 round heavyweight bout. These Dallas Cowboys are kicking, punching and clawing their way to wins lately. It's enough for fans to start calling them the Cardiac Cowboys. This was another one of those games, ironically played down in the Big Easy. But it was anything but easy.

The offenses exchanged redzone INTs to start the game before Dallas struck with a TD pass to TE T. Bryant. The Saints would come and score on a K. Deen TD run to tie it up with less than a minute to go. QB J. Echavaria got the team in FG range and D. Bailey kicked it to make it 10-7, Dallas, at the half.

In the 3rd, the Saints' J. Locker, who threw 4 INTs on the day, would engineer a TD drive to make it 14-10. Dallas would come right back and score with a TD pass to D. Bryant, making it 17-14. Then, heading into the 12th round of this bout, Dallas' defense delivered two knockout blows. The first was a fumble recovered by OLB J. Durant, who probably played his best game of the season. Durant, who earlier had picked off Locker, scooped the ball up at the 13 and promptly outran the offense for the 87yd return and a 24-14 Dallas lead. On the ensuing drive, FS C. Sentef read TE Graham's route on a 3rd and long and cut off the route for the INT, Locker's 3rd of the game. The drive would end in a FG for Dallas, giving them a 27-14 lead. Locker would try to get things going again but, CB M. Claiborne would come up with his 2nd INT of the game to stop the comeback attempt and secure the win.

Dallas now gets ready to face those pesky Seahawks.
