You might want to sticky this so you make sure everyone sees it.

I went with MAC, WAC, and MWC cause I think the MAC schools matchup better with the talent in the WAC and MWC.

Man, you would put a C-USA suggestion out there. I've been wanting to run with my alma mater (UCF) for a while now. I just don't think I have enough time for 3 dynasties.

I'd like to see the MAC in there so I can run with my Alma Mater, as well.

I went with MAC, MWC and WAC but I'd almost be remissed if I didn't take my wife's alma mater, ECU.

I would rather have BCS teams, but if that's not the case, I'm all for MWC, WAC, and MAC. I'd jump on Miami (OH).

I voted Mountain West, WAC, MAC cuz it seemed what the majority was leaning towards, then realized i broke a tie. I really don't care what we do and i'm new here so i'll go with what everyone else wants.

I'm thinking maybe we should just go with 4 conferences. MWC, WAC, MAC and CUSA. We're pretty much in agreement on MWC and WAC. The other two are pretty evenly split. You guys ok with 4?

Alright, I think we'll just go with 4 conferences. The hang-up I was having is that the MWC and WAC will have 2 user games for sure each year, while the MAC and CUSA could have 0. We'll make it work...I would much rather have us pick teams that we will stay interested in.

As far as team selection, I'm gonna put together a random draft. I think that's fair...its a new release and I think we can all start off on even footing.

And when we get to the team selection, we'll go with 3 in each conference, but I don't think we have to have a team in each sub-division of the MAC or CUSA. In other words, I think we could have 3 in CUSA East division and no one in the West....if that's how we draft.

I wouldn't be disappointed with 4 conferences as long as we made sure we have 3 users in each conference.

I'd really hope that the MAC was included though.

4 Conferences sounds perfect to me. I have a favorite team that I definitely have my eyes on, but I'll keep that to myself until it's time to pick.... but there are good options in those conferences for me.

Since everyone seems to be in agreement with these 4 conferences, will we prohibit the use of certain teams within those conferences? I've seen it mentioned in the other thread, but no solid conclusion. Since the point of the league is to climb the ladder and build up a program , I would think Boise St. and TCU would be excluded. Those are solid programs and should be top ten entering next season. I think BYU and Utah are borderline and could be argued either way.

But this is all mute if no one planned on using one of these programs.

I think the agreement was to go for 3* or below teams (which will most likely take away BYU as well, as it should as there is definitely no ladder climbing there).

I was thinking we would go off the table you posted in the first NCAA 2011 thread, the one that only had 3* teams.

Which means that Boise State, TCU, Utah and BYU would not be allowed.

Boise, TCU and Utah in my opinion, are obviously out. All three have been to BCS bowls in the last 3 years.

BYU has not reached a BCS bowl yet. However, I think they will still be a 4* in 2011 and have a historical edge over the other MWC teams. I think for what we're doing, BYU's ladder would just be too short.

I'd certainly listen to any arguments about letting BYU in.
