I want to know what you guys think about Custom Playbooks.

My thoughts have been spilled profusely in THIS THREAD (I am not a fan of the idea) however I trust this league enough that I think if anybody can do it right, it'd be us.

Let's start with a vote. Would you want them in, or not? Please think realistically about it. I think no matter what we do, if we make this change, offenses and the scores of games will improve/increase. Can't be convinced otherwise. However, we'd still all be on an even playing field.

We would have to set up some guidelines about how people can put together a playbook but if you guys want.. We can consider it.

I really don't mind it at all, I probably won't divulge into custom PB's myself unless something drastic changes...

I'll be interested to see what direction the T1 group is leaning towards with this topic.

It has recently come up in our forums so this thread will be useful for me to monitor. I hold a similar opinion as Hellisan. As a commissioner there are so many things that need monitoring. I always try to cut down "monitored" components as much as possible.

I'd understand the argument if there were only 5 playbooks to choose from, but there are 120+ options out there. I am sure everyone has the ability to find a playbook that is extremely close to what they would create with custom playbooks. Simply the opinion of one, but figured I'd add my two cents. :)

As much as I sometimes hate that not every playbook has the greatest assortment of plays... I think I really enjoy the process of trying to find a good playbook, at the end of the day. That would be something I would miss, I think.

I accidentally signed in on your account again. I will delete it until I need it again next season or whatever.

It doesnt really matter to me. If we allow custom PBs I would probably only change a handful of formations/plays anyway. I will vote for allowing them, but I'd rather us just keep it in our back pocket. Maybe re-visit it the second half of the release to spice things up...

This is only the single greatest feature of the game. It would be a travesty not to allow it.

jms didn't click the no button but indicated no, therefore we're at 6. So it looks like this is a travashamockery.

Yeah to be honest, the fact that only 9 members voted on something this important speaks to the general malaise that I fucking HOPE is only because we are at the end of the current game cycle. It's what plagues us - why our offseasons if not done in one night would take two weeks because we just can't get people to get on and do stuff on a short notice for some reason. Fucking horrible.... I hope NCAA 13 is good enough to have a positive effect on this aspect of our league.

I share many of the same concerns as you regarding CPBs. We're running them, so it'll be interesting to see how it all pans out.
