The Cowboys knew all about the Panthers' vaunted running game. Even without Jonathan Stewart they have a pretty formidable, and speedy, backfield in D. Williams and Taiwan Jones. Not to mention their Superman QB. But the defensive gameplan came up big as the Panthers were limited to 41yds on the ground and Cam was held to -1 rushing yards though he did score on a 3yd run late in the game. Interestingly enough, all 3 of their TDs came on the ground. With no where to run, the Panthers took to the air and Dallas was ready, picking off Cam 3 times.

For Dallas the story was D. Murray, who was the sole ball carrier, toting the rock 20 times for 193yds and 3 TDs. His last score was the back breaker. Carolina had just scored and pulled to within 6 at 27-21. Facing a 3rd and inches, the Panthers sold out to stop the run. But Murray got great blocking, side stepped a defender and was gone for a 69yd TD run. The Panthers could not recover as on the next drive the receivers suffered numerous drops including a crucial one on 4th and 10.
