The Cowboys came off their undefeated Super Bowl season, and had another undefeated season. But things didn't end the same way and the Cowboys did not finish. Very similiar to what the Patriots did a few years ago going undefeated during the regular season, only to lose in the final game. The Cowboys met up with the Bills in the Super Bowl. The game was very much hyped giving the two teams and their rivalry. However the Cowboys players did not show up and were embarrassed as the Bills destroyed the Cowboys. This ended their incredible 37 game win streak. Romo and Austin were criticized after the game for their poor performance. Romo had several throws that were off target, and Austin had a fumble and a dropped ball. At age 30. Tony Romo doesn't have too many more good years left in the league. But he wants to go down in history as one of the best, and he knows quarterbacks and judged by Super Bowls. With one ring under his belt, Romo was quoted in saying... "1 ring is nice, but 2 is better. We will go back, and we will win next time."

    Stats and Progression

Everyone knows about Felix Jones, but how many know about Daniel Frisch? He finshed the 2011 season with 4.9 yards per carry and 11 touchdowns. He has gotten better in the off-season and looks to have a bigger role in 2012. Dez Bryant surprisingly led the team in receiving TD's
with 17, compared to Miles Austins 9. Buta closer look at their numbers showed that they were both equally involved with the offense. Dez had 49 catches for 950, Miles had 47 for 943. Very close. Will Dez rise up to overtake Miles on the depth chart as the number 1 go to receiver? Wait and find out!

Despite many trade rumors surrounding Terrence Newman, he remains a Cowboy. Can his back up his play from last season? We'll see. He played out of his mind last season and had the best year of his career, recording 10 INT's.

Interesting stats for Jason Witten. Still one of the best TE's in the league, Witten only had 32 catches for 399 and 3 TD's. Jason looks to be more involved with the offense this season to take advantage of defenses while they are doubling up Miles or Dez.

Look for Roy Williams and K. Olgletree to be more involved as well. Ogletree was really disappointed with his playing time last season. He feels he has the ability to be a number 3 WR. For now tho. Roy Williams still has that spot.

    Off-season

    Draft
The Cowboys went into the draft needing a MLB and a FS, and got neither. Picking 31st didn't give them a chance to get any of the players they really wanted. They did get a upgrade at RT with their 1st round pick with R. Trapani. The RT position was now up for grabs, and Trapani winning the starting job, and Colombo being cut. In the 2nd round Dallas used their pick to draft a good young backup QB in B. Homan. Romo is now 30, so injury is a concern. If something was to happen to him, the show is all Homan's.

    Trades
QB Robert You was traded before the draft to get LE L. Houston who will be starting. The Cowboys finally get a good LE, and the Raiders got themselves a QB. Cowboys tried to make several trades to being in a good MLB, but they were unsuccessful.

    Free Agency
With some big names out there, and not much cap space, the Cowboys had to sit back and watch the train go by. Initially they were interested in Devery Henderson, but soon lost interest as the bids started to get to high (seriously lol? He's short and 30). The Cowboys were able to pick up some LB's but it is unclear on if they were have a positive impact on the team.

Quick hits - Sean Lee will finally get his chance and will be starting this season at MLB - The Defensive coordinator was fired after a miserable performance in the Super Bowl - J. Parenell will be starting at LG

    Conclusion

Overall, perfect season. Can't ask for any more. When you win all 16 games, you know you are doing something right. The offense and defense are going to build off what they did last year, and come out firing to start the season. Expect big things again from the Cowboys this season and even bigger numbers! The Cowboys are still angry from that Super Bowl loss, and they are hungry. The team still has the talent to make another run. It truly is Super Bowl or bust!

Nice write up. I think you will like S.Lee. he has been starting in my other league and I am very happy with him. Weird how some guys just seem to play above there ratings.
