With a 1-3 record over their last 4 games, the Cowboys hot start cooled off considerably. And despite a 3-0 record vs the NFC East, that cooling off period had allowed the Giants to leapfrog into 1st place. Enter week 11 and Dallas would have a chance to reclaim that #1 spot. Despite the NY players taking all week about how this was a HUGE game, Dallas' Coach Moe kept his players from getting too excited by preaching "one game at a time." "This was a big game but we needed to keep focused on our goal. Our goal this season wasn't to beat the Giants. Or even to sweep the Giants, even though we did. Our goal is to make the playoffs. In order to do that you've got to play one game at a time", said coach afterwards.

Early on it seemed the Giants would be in control in this one. FS N. Duncan would pick off QB D. Harvin on Dallas' 1st drive. QB B. Franklin would engineer a scoring drive that put NY up 7-0. Dallas would come back with a scoring drive of its own to tie it up 7-7 on HB D. Murray's first TD of the game.
On the Giants' ensuing drive, pressure on Franklin caused a short throw that was caught by WR D. Frederick. As he attempted to fight for yards, FS B. Church laid the wood and knocked the ball, also making the recovery to give the Cowboys the ball at the Giants' 33yd line. 4 plays later, Murray was in for his 2nd TD and a 14-7 Dallas lead.
Both defense would bunker down. The Giants would pick off Harvin once more and Dallas would put together a stout goal line stand. With NY facing a 1st and goal at the 4, they attempted 3 rushes with HB L. Blount. On 3rd down, Blount would attempt a cutback into the middle of the field when he was met by SS J.J. Wilcox who knocked the ball loose. DE N. Florence made the recovery to give Dallas the ball on NY's 4yd line. Harvin would then be sacked for a safety making the halftime score, 14-9, Cowboys.
In the 3rd qtr the Giants would march down the field and take the lead on a Franklin to Ashley TD plus a 2pt conversion to D. Amendola to make it 17-14 Giants. Once again both offenses would struggle before Dallas broke thru in the 4th on a beautifully executed 35yd run by Murray, his 3rd TD of the game. Murray got great blocks from RG Z. Martin, TE J. Witten and LT T. Smith, who took out 2 defenders on the play. WR T. Williams kept his block going to allow Murray to score. That gave Dallas a 21-17 lead.
On the ensuing drive, B. Franklin would look for V. Cruz but Fs B. Church stepped in front of the Cruz to make the crucial INT. Dallas would cap this drive with Murray's 4th TD of the game to make it 28-17. CB J. McCourty would ice the game with an INT.
It was another great matchup between these long time rivals. With the sweep, Dallas moves into 1st place in the NFC East and heads home to host the Titans in week 12. The Giants will host the Saints.
    GG James!!!
