After a horrendous showing at home in week 1, not many people were expecting a major improvement on the road in Tennessee in week 2. But as they say, when you're down there's only one way to go. And "Up" is where this offense ended week 2. QB T. Romo recovered nicely completing 84% of his passes but, only for 112yds. However, he did connect with TE J. Witten for 2 TDs. "The game plan definitely changes without Dez in the lineup", said Coach Moe afterwards. M. Austin hasn't really done much since being signed and both D. Harris and C. Beasley are now pushing him for playing time.
Building a comfortable lead off of Titan turnovers (2 INTs, 1 FUM), D. Murray got a full workload in but only managed a 3.2ypc avg. Still it was a good sign that the offense stuck to the run instead of trying to force any passes and allow the Titans to get back into the game.
And the Titans have weapons that can allow them to do that, as WR J. Hunter showed, scoring on a 77yd pass in the 2nd qtr, cutting the Cowboy lead to 14-7. But that's the closest they would get. D. Harris returned the ensuing kickoff 98yds for a score and Dallas never looked back.
Dallas stays on the road in week 3 visiting the Rams and Coach KO while the Titans travel to Cincy to take on the Bengals.
