If your player is highlighted in red, that means you've won the player. Pick them up on the console ASAP and UPDATE YOUR ROSTER MANAGEMENT THREAD.

If your player was not highlighted in red, that means they received additional bids this bidding period. We did have one instance of a bid last night that did not raise the original bid and as such, that player took the original bid and was awarded to its winning bidder. I just want to avoid confusion and make sure this isn't happening. If you don't bid higher than the original bid, you're not raising the price and thus the player is going to accept the original and be locked from more bidding.

Next bidding period ends this time tomorrow morning. Happy bidding.

Well the Eagles just busted their cap with their recent signings.
They were at 239 and signed:

    Cole for $6
    Dixon for $4
    Vick for $7

    That's $6 over.

To cut $6 off cap he would have to cut $12 worth of cap due to the cap hit plus a penalty?

Knowing he was in the lead for all 3 players yesterday, and knowing his cap was at 239...

He had the opportunity to cut the players prior to the signings to stay under cap.

Failure to do so should result in a penalty IMO.

I never specifically stated what the penalty would be so I feel like anything I say will be perceived as unfair. Know what I mean?

Its also possible he thought he could "bid on this guy but if I don't win bid on this guy" with Vick and Dixon.

    He's new to this system.

Out of curiosity Keller does anyone get a copy of your FA bids? Kinda a checks and balance thing and before people take this in any kind of wrong way, it is just a question no rhythm or reason behind it and definitely not accusing of anything.

Also who bid on Tiffin it doesn't say?

I make my bids the morning of, before I open my PM's.
If someone else wants to take all the bids and have me submit my bids to them instead, thats fine. Otherwise, you guys will just have to trust me [IMG]

Yes, yes we do. Leaves some good flexibility for any potential moves.

Not a matter of trust Keller, if we didn't trust you don't think any of us would be in the league. I was just curious as I said in no way was it accusative just was curious.

Thats understandable but can we clarify the rule now so we can avoid this kind of thing in the future?

I totally understand working with owners to get the system down... You have been very gracious with me and my "indecisions" try to figure everything out.

With that said, I still feel he needs to take more of a conscience effort to abide by the rules and make cuts accordingly. Some owners have made some drastic cuts in order to make it work, and did not get the opportunity to have an advantage to win a bid and then cut.

Also, the cuts he needs to make need to be ASAP, so everyone can have the opportunity to bid on them.

Lets hold him accountable to the rules as well that state the players that put him over the cap need to stay on his roster for at least a year. So Dixon can not be one of his cuts.

@Betz - Don't let these guys rattle you. I understand your situation and we'll work to get it fixed.

@everyone - How would you guys feel about me simply not accepting bids on players if it puts the owner over the cap?

I think not accepting bids that owners cant cash would be good practice. This way it doesnt affect the rest of the league.
With a cap on the amount of bids we are able to do in a day, there becomes a strategy involved. When an owner puts bids up that are not able to be cashed, it affects everyone.

And to show I am not trying to be a complete a$$, and that I just want things to be fair for everyone....

Ill save you a $1 in your cap.

MLB Jamar Chaney is not on your roster, he is on mine;)

I think next time around if a bid puts them over the cap limit, then it becomes void and null. The next highest bidder under the cap wins the players rights.

Are we going to establish a rule for cap busters now that everyone should be more aware...

I think there needs to be some accountability so we all play by the same rules.

I would definitely be in favor of not accepting bids if it puts someone over their cap space. In theory it's a great idea (IMO). BUT I don't think that we need to put that burden on you. You already put a TON of effort and time into this league I don't think it should be you're responsibility to double check everyone's cap room and do the math for everyone- that is something we are capable of doing (not trying to take a shot at you Betz, it is an honest mistake I'm just trying to state my opinion about this).
