They say when you're on top every game becomes the Super Bowl for your opponents. And that seems to be the case for Dallas as they embark on the defense of their title*. The problem? One word: turnovers. In weeks 1 and 2 it was crucial fumbles that led to TDs, putting the offense in a hole they wouldn't be able to climb out of. In week 3, it was costly INTs by Romo that prevented the offense from putting the pedal to the metal after the defense gave them a 14-0 lead to start the game.

CB J. Jones and OLB D. Ware both returned INTs for TDs and the defense was solid for about a quarter and a half. But then SF QB M. Williams decided to pick on CB B. Carr, who gave up 3 big plays in this game, all of them for TDs. Maybe it's the distraction of contract negotiations. Maybe Carr is struggling with his confidence. Whatever it is, Dallas needs their best man defender to figure it out and soon.

But another issue crept into the picture in week 3. Penalties. FIVE of them!!! All holding calls that either eliminated big gains or turned a 4th and inches inside the 10 to 4th and 9 and 3pts instead of a possible 7. Could the officials also be looking to knock the Champs* down?

    Stay tuned...
