After putting up 138yds and 4 TDs in week 11 vs the Giants, Dallas HB D. Murray once again displayed the ability to break down a solid defense as he tore thru the Titans 8 man fronts in week 12 for an even more impressive 202yds and added 3 TDs. Despite Tennessee selling out to stop the run, Dallas wouldn't bite and stuck to it's game plan, rushing the ball 28 times vs 20 passes, the 2nd consecutive week the Cowboys have run the ball more than they've thrown it. And so far they have 2 wins to show for it. Dallas opened the game with a 13 play, 79yd drive that ended with Murray's 1st TD, a 3yd run, to make it 7-0. The Titans' 1st drive would end after 4 plays with an acrobatic INT by SS J.J. Wilcox of a pass intended for K. Wright. That gave Dallas the ball back and Murray & Co. put together a 10 play drive that ended in his 2nd TD of the game to make it 14-0, Cowboys. The Titans would put together another 4 play drive but, this one ended with a 52yd bomb to J. Hunter, who got behind CB J. McCourty and made a highlight reel, one-handed grab for the TD to close the gap at 14-7. That's how the 1st half ended. The Titans would receive the 2nd half kickoff but would go 3 and out as DE N. Florence got the DEF's only sack of the game on 3rd and 4 to force the punt. Dallas' next drive would stall and end with a 39yd FG to make it 17-7. QB Z. Mettenberger would engineer a 7 play drive, ending in a bruising, 18yd power run by B. Sankey for the TD, making it 17-14, Cowboys, heading into the 4th. D. Murray would have the play of the game as he took the ball off tackle for a 63yd TD run, his 3rd of the game, to make it 24-14. On the play, Murray picked up blocks from RG Z. Martin and RT D. Hairston before outrunning the defense to the endzone. Mettenberger would connect with K. Wright for a TD to end the scoring at 24-21. In week 13 Dallas goes on the road to take on the Jaguars while the Titans return home to host the Chargers. GG Heath!!!
