Coming off of 2 heart breaking defeats on the final play of the game vs Indy and Seattle the Dolphins needed a victory in the worst way. Once in total command of their playoff future losing 3 of 5 games left them with little margin for error. The Dolphins looked to take control early in this one and they did jumping out to a quick lead thanks in part to Mike Wallace and a balanced attack of run and pass. Miami RB's Tate and Miller would combine for over 100 yards on this rainy night and QB Tannehill would be very efficient passing 15-17 to be exact with 3 TD tosses to 3 different recipients. With a late lead of and trying to run out the game up 21-7 Tanne would make his only mistake forcing a pass instead of taking a FG the result was a pick 6 and suddenly things go serious at 21-14. However 3 plays later Wallace would spring free down the left sideline for a long TD and a 28-14 lead with not much time left in the 4th. Miami was paced on D by Dion Jordan who was on some run with 5 sacks and 6 tackles for a loss setting Miami up for a late FG to make it comfortable again at 31-14. Buffalo would not quit however and score late to cut it to 10 but the Dolphins would run the game out and secure a much needed win 31-21 at home. Miami still controls their playoff fate as 2 teams chasing them for the wildcard are both ahead on the schedule in New England and Baltimore and if Miami could somehow win those they may still win the division as well. GG Mike Dion Jordan was all over Cam in this one didn't really let you get into any flow.
