The Dolphins made it to the playoffs but over there history the road was never kind to Miami in the past. This game started off like everyone was aware of that fact. Denver took the opening kick and marched right down Miami's throat with a good running game which opened some passing to take a 7-0 eating up most of the first quarter. The Dolphins looking to answer threw a pick on their first play returned deep into the red zone and before anyone knew it the score 14-0 and Miami was on its heels. The Dolphins would get some relief however as for the 4th time this season Marcus Thigpen would take the kickoff 101 yards for a TD making the score 14-7 quick. The Broncos would go on another drive however this time Miami would hold. Ryan Tannehill took the ball back and found a streaking Mike Wallace deep for a TD and with only running 2 plays in the half Miami's big plays would tie the game at 14. Denver would respond with under 2 minutes left in the half by kicking a FG to take a 17-14 lead. However Thigpen would again get lose not for a TD but to mid field setting Miami up for a late half TD and 20-17 lead into the half. Miami opened the second half the same way it ended the first half driving mixing the run and pass mostly run as Tate and Miller again combined to split carries to tatal total 100 yards. This time the result was a Ryan Swope TD catch and suddenly Miami had a 27-17 lead in the 3rd quarter. Now that the Dolphins made Denver have to pass more then pinned their ears and got the pass rush going Dion Jordan who had 4 tackles for loss would tally 2 sacks and give the Dolphins key field position several times resulting in 2 FG's and into the 4th the Dolphins took control 33-17. Denver would attempt a rally late and they would score a TD but miss the 2pt conversion Miami would gain the ball back and run the clock out and cash a ticket to Foxboro in the AFC Divisional Game. The Dolphins have lost twice to NE already one game was close but the Pats pulled away late the second game was a beat down for Miami's only home loss, we shall see if the 3rd time is the charm... GG Phenom without my special teams I would have never gotten back in that game.
