Miami, FL - The Miami Dolphins announced the release of DT Willie Lee on Tuesday. The move was to make room on the roster for the signing of veteran receiver Brad Smith. The signing was made to fill the void for injured receiver Joshua Davis who suffered a broken jaw in the Dolphins 38-28 win over the Chargers in week 8. Davis, who is expected to miss six weeks, was the KR/PR specialist and #4 receiver on the Dolphins depth chart. Smith is expected to step in for the injured Davis in the Dolphins week 9 match-up against the Bills.
