    1st Quarter:

The Dolphins won the opening coin toss and elected to kick to the visiting team. The Rams' opening drive stalled at mid-field and led to a Hekker punt. The Dolphins first play from scrimmage wound up being an INT as Dalton's pass intended for his TE Bullock wound up being snagged over the middle by rookie ROLB Bryan Jones (user pick; nice work eddie). The Rams capitalized on the turnover and eventually scored as Redman punched it in from one yard out to give the Rams a 7-0 lead.

    2nd Quarter:

After exchanging possessions, the Dolphins would orchestrate a successful drive in the second quarter. On 3rd down and goal from the Rams' six, the Dolphins came out in a Singleback 3WR set. On the pass play, Dalton recognized the Rams dropped into zone coverage. With all of his receivers covered, Dalton scampered up the middle for a six yard TD run to tie the game up at seven just past the two-minute warning. Bradford would respond for the Rams with an effective 2-minute drill. The Rams were able to get their kicker, Zuerlein, within field goal range for a 35 yard FG to give the Rams a 10-7 lead as the first half came to an end.

    3rd Quarter:

The Dolphins received the kick to open the second half. They struck early as Dalton hit Young on a streak for a 57 yard TD to give the Dolphins a 14-10 lead. Following a Bradford turnover (Dansby INT), the Dolphins found themselves in good field position once more which led to a Carpenter 39 yard FG to increase the Dolphins' lead to seven, 17-10.

    4th Quarter:

Carpenter would tack on another 22 yard FG for the Dolphins early in the fourth quarter following another Bradford INT. The successful try put the Dolphins ahead of the Rams by two possessions, 20-10, with 4:56 remaining. The Rams were down, but not out as Bradford led his team on a successful drive ending in a 3 yard TD run by Redman with 3:19 left to play. The Rams had cut the Dolphins lead to 20-17 and had all three timeouts remaining. The Dolphins were successful at moving the ball past mid-field on their ensuing drive which led to Carpenter's third FG of the game; this one from 50 yards out. The score was 23-17 and the Rams had 27 seconds to attempt to score a touchdown. However, Dolphins safety, T.Jones, thwarted the Rams' final attempt and recorded his second INT of the game.

The Miami Dolphins improve their record to 2-5 on the season following the 23-17 win over the visiting St. Louis Rams who fall to 2-5 on the season. The win puts the Dolphins two games behind the division leading Jets (4-2) at the conclusion of week 7. The Dolphins intend to carry the momentum into their week 8 match-up against the defending 2013 Superbowl Champion Bills (3-4).

    Good Game Eddie!

    Great Write up...two things:
    1. The layout is great...very easy on the eyes...I may have to semi replicate
    2. I enjoyed the description of the actual offensive set you were in, followed by what you saw in Eddie's defense on the play in the second quarter. Cool breakdown.
