Tyrann, nicknamed the honey badger is coming off a monster season, where he was up for the Heisman as a sophomore. he is the spark plug for the defense and seems to make huge plays when ever needed. Will need another big season from him if we expect to due some damage in the SEC.

These guys are 2 of the best defensive ends in the country and should cause huge fits to any offensive line

So how are you going to run their offense?

I'm definitely going to run the spread offense, maybe even an air raid but not really sure until i get the game and use some of the playbooks. On the demo it seems real easy to run the ball, want to see how it goes on higher level.

Another big time defensive player, this cat is one of the best safeties in the country and is only a junior along with the rest of our impact players so we could see this dominate defense be around for the next couple of seasons

    Impact Player:
    HB Spencer Ware
    [IMG]
Ware had a solid season rushing the ball last year with over 700 yds rushing and 8 TD's in split duties, this year will be more of the same but Ware will get the shot early.

    HB Micheal Ford
    [IMG]
Ford had a solid year splitting carries with Ware and had a 6.0 ypc average and rushed for 756 yds and 7 TD's. This will definitely be a strong suit for the Tigers as we have 3 solid backs and there all juniors

The Honey Badger forces a fumble on the opening drive which LSU would convert into a TD on a Spencer Ware 11 yard run. For the first week of the season the Offense and Defense both seemed to be in mid-season form as The Tigers would gain over 430 yards while the defense would only give up 238 and force 2 turnovers. Spencer Ware would get the player of the game as he would rush for 96 yds and 3 TD's.

Wasnt much of a game as LSU defense was just too good, Longshot Heisman hopeful gets out done by his corner counterpart as the defense has a field day. Tharold Simon would have 3 picks including one returned for a TD, while Tyrann Matieu would have 3 tackles (2 for a loss), 1 sack, 1 INT and a 59 yard punt return for a TD. In total the defense would allow 117 yards of offense for Rice including a -53 yards on the ground, get 6 sacks and 5 Interceptions plus a safety. The offense looked pretty good as Zach Mettenberger had another good game going 16/22 for 324 yds, 3 TD's and 1 INT. Next week is The Home opener as a much tougher opponent comes to town as the #19 Texas Longhorns travel to Death Valley.
tyrann Matieu "the HoneyBadger" takes this punt return 59 yds to the house as he out runs everyone to the sideline

    Week 3
    [IMG][IMG]
    LSU Pounds Texas 52-27
    [IMG]
The score is actually a little bit deceiving as Texas was almost on par with The Tigers in yards gained led by HB Malcolm Brown as he would rush for 286 yds and 3 TD's, luckily LSU's defense would step up at some key times as they would force 3 turnovers and hold The LongHorns 0 for 7 on 3rd down conversions. The Tiger offense was back at it as Spencer Ware would lead the rushing attack with 154 yds and 3 TD's. Well Mettenberger would be solid passing for 249 yds, 2 TD's and 2 INT's.
One of Minters 3 sacks, this one forced a fumble.
LSU defense forces a fumble that is returned for a TD
Jarvis Landry catches one of 2 TD passes thrown by Zach Mettenberger
LSU ranked #2 in the country 3-0, next up first conference game against Auburn

Despite 6 turnovers LSU walks away from The Swamp with a 35-17 victory, QB Zach Mettenberger despite going 18/28 for 327 yards and 3 TD's really had a poor day. 5 of his 10 imcompletions were intercepted and thats just not acceptable he needs to be more careful with the ball. The LSU defense played a hell of a game as they would hold The Gators to -18 yards rushing and only 215 yards of total offense. The defense wouldnt force a turnover all game but would get 8 sacks by 6 different players and really hold things together until the offense got there shit straight. Spencer Ware would have a good game rushing for a 124 yds but 0 TD's as both rushing TD's would go to Mike Ford and his 71 yards on the ground. Mettenberger did spread the ball out nicely as he would hit 6 different receivers with at least 2 receptions with Russel Sheppard leading the way with 5 catches for 86 yards and 2 TD's.
Mike Ford with a nice juke move to get in from 23 yards
Zach Mettenberger finds Russel Shepard in the back of the end zone for the TD
#1 LSU moves to 5-0 with a huge game coming up next week against undefeated South Carolina

Turnovers kill Tigers as they give the ball away 5 times in first half, two of which were returned for TD's and go down 35-7 at the half. The deficit was too much to overcome as LSU ends up losing 41-28 and suffers first loss of the season and have dropped to #7 in the poll

LSU wins 45-35 in a great offensive battle, the A&M offense would torch LSU's defense through the air as Johnny Manziel would go 32/55 for 405 yards and 4 TD's with 0 INT's. It seemed like the only way The Tigers could get a stop is with a sack, and The Tigers defense would do plaenty of that getting to the QB 8 times.
The Tigers offense was led by Spencer Ware who would have another huge day with 28 carries 174 yards and 3 TD's. LSU goes to 6-1 on the year

Looks like #2, #3 and #4 in the polls all lost so LSU back in the hunt with a big game against #1 Bama coming up next week, GG Nautica

Golson picked off 4 times in The Tigers 33-21 victory, Mettenberger would have a great day going 17/25 331 yards and 3 TD's, while Spencer Ware would have 148 yards on the ground. The LSU Defense was able to shut The Irish out in the 2nd half to give The Tigers the HUGE victory!

    A Huge Victory!

#2 LSU celebrates after 66-28 thrashing of rival Alabama.
Things started off a little rough for LSU as on the opening drive Zach Mettenberger would get picked off on an out route and Ha'Sean Clinton Dix would take it to the house to give Bama a 7-0 lead. But that wouldnt phase the Tigers as they would put 42 unanswered points up in the half to take a 42-7 lead into the half, from there it was pretty much a cake walk as the lead was too insurmountable. Zach Mettenberger would have a huge day as he would go 11/18 293 yards and 5 TD's with 1 INT, the running game would rush for 248 yards led by Spencer Ware he would have 115 yds and 2 TD's on 18 carries while mike Ford would have 83 yards on 7 carries and 1 TD. The receivers were led by Kadron Boone who had 3 catches for 111 yds and 2 TD's while Russel Shepard would have 4 catches for 97 yards with 2 TD's. All in all it was a great day for The Tigers and there offense and should be back to #1 in the country next week.

Crazy game down in Baton Rouge as The Tigers would pull it out in overtime to keep there shot at a National Title alive. LSU would literally get on the back of Spencer Ware and ride off it the sunset as Ware would carry the ball 23 times for 272 yds and 4 TD's including a 25 yarder in overtime on the 1st play. Only disappointment was the loss of QB Zach Mettenberger which is a huge loss as he wont be back till maybe a Bowl Game.

    Great Escape
LSU survives a major scare against the rival Rebels with a 33-29 Win.
Jerrard Randall gets victory in 1st start but it was close and the offense really looked bad without Zach Mettenberger at the helm, the defense played just well enough to keep The Tigers in the game and hold Ole Miss to a couple of key Red Zone Fie;d Goals, as they say a Win is a Win and we will move on from here. Spencer Ware was most of the offense for LSU as he rushed for 164 yds on 27 carries and had 1 TD in the win. Mike Ford had a huge day returning the ball as he had 195 yards including a 96 yd KR return for a TD.

Michael Ford HB #42 96 yard Kick Return for a TD

LSU pulls out the victory with the defense leading the way again as they would hold the high powered Arkansas offense to just 17 points, The Tiger offense rushed the ball well with over 200 yards on the ground while Jerrard Randall had two long TD passes but threw 2 INT's, Spencer Ware had 117 yards rushing while Mike Ford had 93 and a TD.

    2012 Sec Champions
    [IMG]
LSU defense would lead the way making big play after big play and only holding the high powered Bulldog offense to 9 points, The offense was doing what it does, pound the ball and make some big plays through the air. The Tigers would rush for 224 yards led by Spencer Ware and his 125 while Jerrard Randall would throw for 194 yds, 2 TD's and 1 INT.

Michael Ford HB #42 sets up the blocks nicely for a 47 yard TD from Jerrard Randall QB #15

Kadron Boone WR #86 splits the zone for a 75 yard TD from Jerrard Randall QB #15
