This particular stat made some waves last year in the Deuce so I'm resurrecting it here in the TMFL as well. I've not seen drops to be particularly out of whack in my games but I think its interesting to look at nonetheless.

Keep in mind that I'm calculating this percentage based on the number of balls a receiver got their hands on, meaning that the receiver could have caught the ball and what percentage did they actually drop what they could have caught.

    The formula is simply Drops/(catches+drops)

Here's the findings, sorted by catches. I'm not sure if you guys have access to change the sorting but if you'd like me to, for example, filter out guys with less than 20 catches and sort by drop %, I can certainly do that.

As I said, in my games I've not particularly noticed outside of 1 WR but his catching/skills aren't very high so I sort of expect it. That being said, I still think its interesting to look at and wondered what other people thought. Torrey Smith for example drops almost 25% of the balls thrown his way.

There are a lot of variables though-- guys throwing into tight windows.. getting hit.. etc.

I dont think anything needs "fixed".

No. That was addressing an issue on All Madden difficulty.

Good to see that my top 3 WR are in the top 46 of those who drop passes a lot. No surprise there at all.

Yup, Amendola has cost me some games. Had to bench him.

Wonder what it looks like if you aggregate by team.

Unfortunately theres no easy way for me to see which guys are on which team. I know a lot of them but for the ones I don't know the site doesn't have an easy way of looking that up that I can find.

I feel like I have a lot of drops, but I also tend to throw the ball into traffic too much so that's expected.

Oddly enough, Kevin Walter only had 3 drops on the year. Figured he would have a lot more. On that same note Marc Mariani has 7 drops and only like 30 catches.

You're the game changer. Tell EA to step up their game with the website. I shouldn't have to devise a way to quickly attach team names to all the players or manually crank out each guy.

I mean if you want me to make it editable and everyone wants to post their team name next to all their players, thats fine, assuming its a worthwhile exercise for your purposes.

As always, I just think its merely interesting to look at.

Yea, the CCM website is missing some pretty obvious stuff. Oh well.

Yeah its certainly bare bones. But NCAA site has been lame until this year tbh.

    Thanks for compiling this Keller!
