Excellent stuff. Just as an FYI, Chet Anderson was taken drafted in 2015 #2 in the 1st round Supplemental not #2 OVR.

My best C - Ed Williams.

He put together 3 or 4 great seasons before dying due to knee issues. Haven't had much luck with catchers since.
  3. NeuroticTruth
My best was Barnes, he was great until I traded him. Now he can diaf for all I care.
  4. Roggie
My best - None, unless Rafael Figuoera counts from the Japan days for me.

Flamethrower has been a huge bust.
  5. Confucius Rex
Beau Taylor's where it's at. Served the A's well.
  6. I Peench
Thought Annable was destined for stardom, or the other 2 great catching specs that had career enders.

Here's to hoping Valdes keeps it up (knock on wood)

I was spoiled the first 10 seasons with Posey. He was great behind the plate and could hit well. Unfortunately, catchers go downhill quickly after age 34. I kept him on the team for his leadership skills late in his career and it lowered his WAR. He was released 2 seasons before SF won the world series.

I've had a lot of high potential catching specs fall flat on their face, luckily both of them were after their time in Atlanta. Jorge Zapata and Omar Estrada both looked to be solid players before going to I Peench and sonn until one suffered a CEI and the other just never finished developing. Other than McCann (who was default) and Uluc I haven't had much luck at the catcher position
  9. Drifterbub
Can't say enough about Garcia. A big reason why we have even had marginal success in the last 5-6 years.

What's sad is I had both Jose Garcia and Adrian Warren in my system. Dealt Warren for Eden Martinez, which worked out. But I probably could have afforded to let him DH or play 1B for me and then traded him for gold.

Wow, I didn't know you had Warren.
