    Duke wins a defensive struggle

After a loss in double overtime agaisnt BC last week, Duke pulls of a defensive battle to win agaisnt GT. Techs offensive was non existant against the blue devils, really only having one good drive to get a team. The rest of the game Duke stopped the triple option, often times making tackles in the backfield. Duke held GT to a total of 109 yards of total offense, while having 379 themselves. If it wasnt for 3 turnovers and some key third down stops by GT to force field goals, along with a 4th down stop on the 1 yeard line by GT, this game wouldn't have been to close.

At 5-3 Duke is 1 victory away from being able to make a bowl game. They are also one game behind Vtech in the ACC, along with Miami and BC but all 3 teams have more games left to play in conference then Duke has. They hold the tie breaker with Vtech and Miami, but BC has it agaisnt them after last weeks game. Next week Wake Forest comes into town, looking for revenge from last year, trying to spoil Dukes chance at the Championship.
