The recruiting ones are all from the dynasty trailer they released: The following are from TGT. Here's one of the HC game management skills: OC Skill: Obviously the 2nd row right helps with running ability. Since Haumiller mentioned in the podcast that OCs can improve a QB's THP/THA, that's likely the cannon on the 2nd row. Most likely the 3rd row is pass blocking on the left and run blocking on the right. A guess would be strength and awareness on the top. A couple of DC skills:
Awesome screenshots. Can someone in the know let us know how easy it is to gain these perks? I'd prefer not to max my coordinators perks by year 3
Are all the pitches the same from 13? And what are the most amount of pitches that can be used as bonus?
Are you able to fully upgrade all skills in a coaching tree once you reach Max Coach level or is it similar to RPGs in that you'll have to decide between skills at some point? If you do have to make a decision between which skills to max, are you able to "reset" the talent tree at some point in time?
3 pitches are used as a bonus from what I've seen/heard. You can reset your points during every offseason. Given how long I play dynasties, I definitely hope it takes longer than 5-7 years.
Didnt see this asked I think..... I understand the recruiting uses a point system rather than time, sounds interesting. I am wondering if you can still make promises to recruits? If so, is it simply bonus points for the week or does it have some other tangible effect.
This was a huge debate at the first CE event. Some devs wanted them to be easier to obtain because they wanted people to be excited and use them. My argument was that you can easily kill replay value of multiple seasons if you could become Nick Saban-esque in year 2. I don't know the progression that was settled on, but we can only hope that it takes a while. I believe you can max it out as you continue to accrue XP.
I believe only the recruit's top 3 interests count towards the bonus. So if the three things he cares about most are not highly rated pitches for you, then you probably aren't going to get that big of a bonus. I believe all the pitches are the same. No big changes anyway.
Yes it is. If anything you are just taking a strategy of whether you want to gamble on kids you might not get or sign the lower rated guys to fill out a roster (which you will probably cut those guys anyways or burry them in depth chart by signing better guys next year).
So a couple things I was able to get cleared up: 1) There is a progression settings for coaches (slow -> fast). Good news for us. 2) Conference games are locked. I'm guessing this is a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.
Schools take 1-3* commitments all the time because they are locks. It allows them to focus in on the big fish. If you are smart, you will have the 1-3* contingency plans in place. I think the days of signing all 4-5* from top to bottom and still meeting your numbers is likely gone.
In the release that I tested in April, the only promises were when trying to sway a player from transferring.. nothing on recruiting
Yes, you can fully max out all of your coaching levels... however, if one of your coordinators gets fired, contract expires or takes a new job somewhere else in the coaching carousel, the new coach that the school hires may not have the same XP to build a complete skill tree.
Also a big debate at our CE event. It was extremely easy to fill most of your tree within 2-3 seasons, so the debate was to make the XP progression slower, or require the level 2 and up skills cost more to unlock. No clue on what or if they were able to implement anything.
Hopefully the progression on "slow" is slow enough to make sure that the coaching skill tree has a lasting impact. If it is not, the coaching skills tree (especially Head Coach/recruiting) could be the place where we start seeing Dynasty restrictions. For example, if the Head Coach skill tree has eight skills win three level each, then maybe Users would be restricted to using at most 16 upgrades (or only being able to max 5-6 skills), that way it creates some differentiation between coaches. We'll just have to wait and see... Thanks for all the information.
Added the NCAA blog to the first page. Covered some presentation topics that I did not, which some of you may be happy to hear. Also, here is a screen shot that breaks down some bonus points you can get from visits. Something I basically forgot about.
