Eagles lose their two best pass rushers; Conor Barwin was placed on IR with a broken collarbone. Calvin Pace was signed off the street to fill the void. Also going down was Trent Cole who will be back next week with broken ribs.

The loss of these two guys was evident vs the Panthers as Cam Newton had way too much time connecting on 80+% passing and shrugging off would be sackers.

Damn. That's painful. Are you a 3-4 still or did you switch to 4-3?

Still 3-4; your Niners hurt my guys :inpain:.. Having Cole back will be nice, Graham and Smith can rotate on the other side. Having them both out was killer.

I lost VDavis after the game with you. Crazy thing is my offense was better with out him. And I just gave him a big deal. We now have a no midseason extensions policy in San Fran.

I did the same thing with Maclin last season; I won't be offering deals to anyone aside from sure fire players until seasons end from now on haha.

** Riley Cooper has career day vs LIONS in NFC Divisional Round.

While it wasn't Riley's biggest day numbers wise, it was in terms of performing under pressure and making clutch plays. RC caught three passes, two of which went for scores. In a roll coverage cover 3 Detroit Cooper out jumped cornerback Darius Slay for a huge touchdown and momentum swing play. Riley's second score came on a cover 6 with the shallow CB sitting on the flats route Cooper was wide open on a corner route, toe tapping in the back of the endzone. #feetinboundstrait

Eagles advance on to the NFC Championship to take on the Seattle Seahawks. This is quite the season for the Philadelphia Eagles as they missed the playoffs last season. Credit goes to a revamped D, ranked in the top 10... Leaps and bounds better than the 31st ranked defense of last season.

***** No Eagles players retire with the season coming to a close.
** Darren Sproles may have lost a step; but won't lose his job.
    * Eagles resign FS Nate Allen to a 3 year deal

Eagles and DE Vinny Curry could never agree on terms and the vet will walk. Philly also stalls on talks with CB Ron Parker, LB Calvin Pace and DT Harlos Riles.

Darren Sproles expressed his interest in being traded after the Eagles signed the young legs of Bernard Pierce. Pierce the Philly native who played at Temple was excited to join the fold with McCoy and to be home. The Eagles also moved RG Todd Herremans who was a staple in the OLine. It will be interesting to see how the team shuffles around the line to fill the void now left at the RG position.

    EAGLES 2016 DRAFT RESULTS
2nd Round : LT Ilyaas Brooks, 6'3" 313 from Grambling State.
Brooks was moved to LG where he will be shielded by Pro Bowl Jason Peters and Jason Kelce. While Brooks OVR looks grim with a 66 with the position move he will see a lot of work in prep and game time. 94 STR/81IBL/88RBK/71PBK with good feet. He should be a low 80's come seasons' end with attention to his play rec and awr.

3rd Round : CB Tamani Ewing, 6'2" 180 from Idaho

Ewing was rated high on the Eagles board with his size and speed. He's a very raw project but has the great baseline you want in a cornerback. Great hands, speed and physicality. Ewing will sit and gain experience to maybe one day take over for the existing starters with dev time.

5th Round : RE Leslie Powell, 6'5" 257 from Neveda

Powell was a hybrid speed rusher who destroyed his competition in the weak in the Mountain West Conference last year. Leslie has already accepted his new role at ROLB where he went up to a 73 OVR. With his 83 SPD, 79 STR solid FMV and PMV he will be able to hold his own on the edge in select pass rushing formations. Powell joins the team at a good time with the aging Trent Cole looking to be in his final years. Powell was our clear draft winner for this year with the picking coming very late in the 4th round.

Nick Foles has expressed interest in your two organizations. A riff was caused when punter Brad Wing was caught with Foles' now ex-girlfriend. The locker room views Nick as a joke o_O

Yeah he's got decent speed. I was thinking they'd give him so running ability besides speed. I think I'm going to start using my punter as my gunner on kickoffs.

***Eagles send SS Earl Wolff to the Colts for a 2nd round selection in the coming draft ...

Wolff failed to make plays in the secondary providing only a box tackler. The Eagles decided it was time for change after the secondary failed to stop anyone through the first 6 games. CB Chris Culliver has been moved to the nickel, and 2nd year man D. Long has been moved to CB #1 to see if he's worth the investment in the future. The SS will see a rotating door until someone earns the position either the rookie Rowland or 2nd year man Schuler from Bama the head hunter!

After stepping in for Nick Foles again; Matt Barkley has resigned through 2017 for 2.8M ... Barkley has earned his spot backing up but ironically enough the USC star outplays Foles every time in every facet!

Nick Foles was traded this afternoon to the Buffalo Bills for a 2017 1st & 3rd rounders, and 2018 3rd rounder. This move marks the beginning to a new direction. Coach B. Jowers was never sold on Foles and could finally get compensation for the QB. Offensive Coordinator Chip Kelly is very optimistic with the move. The Eagles intend on bringing in a some what mobile QB that can at least get out of his own way to take advantage of the 25% of plays the Eagles can't use with Foles taking snaps.

This is a two year plan which will free up plenty of money on the horizon with the departure of Trent Cole, Nick Foles and the expiring contracts of Jason Peters & Evan Mathis. If not this year the Eagles will be very aggressive next year to land their future QB. Matt Barkley has been brought along and is more than ready to run the offense if he's asked to.

SIX picks through the first THREE rounds

While the media buzzes about Foles leaving the city of brotherly love; Matt Barkley has waited no time in going to work. His phrase "U WASN'T WIT ME PASSSSING IN THE GYMMMM"
Barkley's QBR thru 3 seasons is 119.9, 2332 yards, 22TDs, and 5 INTs... While his arm isn't the strongest he uses his quick delivery to find windows. With 90 SAC, 90 MAC Matt is Foles without the big arm, big check and big hospital bill.

It will be big for the GM to hit on these 6 picks, to find starters and nice depth pieces. With the aging Peters & Mathis, Cole already gone, Barwin and many other approaching 30... 2017 will be the foundation year for the rest of the file.

Looking back at the moves ...

    The Nick Foles traded yielded the following players;

QB Traivon Guy, the future ... Kid enters with a great arm and accuracy with fast development. While his speed is a bit down he makes up for it with 87 acceleration which is more important in quick bursts and getting out of the way. This was a win for the Eagles.

RG LeAndre McFadden, the road grater ... 6'6" 344 92 STR 91 RBK 81 PBK 84 IBL, he will replace the HoF guard Even Mathis when the time comes. And provide a great backup for the time being on the interior line.

S Becket Galvin, the ball hawk... The 6'3" Galvin has good speed, good power and great hands. The Eagles have some trials to take on at the SS position so it will be an open competition. Whoever preforms, plays!

    Season 4 - Week 13 vs Chargers

LeSean McCoy's 3rd TD on the day; ball, cleats and jersey are sent to Canton Ohio. Marking 102 career TDs, 7th best all time...

If Shady can remain healthy him and A. Peterson are the last active RBs to challenge E. Smith and W. Payton's rushing records! Daunting tasks.

2017 Eagles Rookies making the 53 man roster :

HB Stephen McNeil 70 OVR 5'11" 204 Miss St - McNeil has good speed (91) and acceleration. He catches the ball well out of the backfield and can provide a spark on special teams until further developed as a runner.

LG Saul Maggitt 76 OVR 6'4" 338 Iowa - A classic big mauler from the Big 10, currently sitting behind starting LG L. Brooks. Maggitt will continue to develop and may see time at if an injury comes about.

WR Bryant Rice 65 OVR 5'11" 189 Army - A shifty 94 SPD, 93 AGL, 94 ACL played everything at Army (QB, RB, WR) has made the conversion in the NFL to WR but may push McNeil next off season at the RB position. Rice is currently #4 on the depth chart has solid hands just need to work out route running.
