The 1-9 Eagles traveled to the 9-1 Cowboys this week. Everyone was expecting a blow out game, but this is the NFC East, anything can happen. It was a defensive battle in the first half. The score at the end of the half was 13-13. In the second half the doors blew off for both teams. The Eagles and Cowboys traded scores a few times. With under 2 minutes to go in the game, the Eagles took the lead 37-34. The Eagles kicked off and the Cowboys promptly took the kick return back for a TD. But not so fast. There was a flag on the play. The return was called back from a block in the back. Now the Cowboys had to drive the length of the field if they wanted to come out of this game with a win. The Cowboys, hoping for a few yards, throw a screen pass. Christine Michael breaks a couple tackles and rumbles down into the redzone. The Cowboys punch it in to make the score 41-37 with about 40 seconds left on the clock. Try as they might, the Eagles couldn't complete a comeback and fall to the Cowboys.
