New York, NY - The Philadelphia Eagles were looking to extend their winning streak to 5 games as they faced off against the 8-1 NY Giants. The recent history for the Eagles playing against NY has not been kind. The Giants have two blowout wins in which Philly was crushed in every phase of the game. If the Eagles wanted to prove they belong in the upper echelon of the league, they needed a much better effort. It turns out thats exactly what they did and they were rewarded a 30-24 overtime win over the Giants. FB James Casey would squeeze in from 3 yards out to give them the win. "It was a great back and forth game between our teams" said Coach KO. Neither team led by more than 6 points all game long.

[IMG]The Giants had a two chances take the lead late in the 4th quarter but the Eagles defense came up huge causing two turnovers. The first stop occurred when SS Jonathan Cyprien separated the ball on WR Abraham Lopez causing the turnover. The Eagles were unable to move the ball on the following possession and were forced to punt. The Giants appeared to have the game won as they drove deep into Eagles territory for the game winning FG. However, MLB Stephen Tulloch had a different idea as he crunched HB LaGarette Blount and forced a fumble with only 20 seconds left in the game.

The game would be decided in overtime. The Eagles won the all important coin toss and immediately went to work. In what can only be described as an epic drive, the Eagles escaped a few dropped interceptions on their 15 play drive that took nearly 5 minutes of the overtime period. The would drive the ball all the way to the 3 yard line where James Casey would rumble in for the touchdown for the win. His second touchdown on the day.

Bram Greenlea was consistent and was able to move the ball against the vaunted Giants defense. Greenlea threw for 328 yards on 21-30 attempts including two touchdowns. Jeremy Maclin was the thorn in the Giants side as he caught a season high 8 passes for 148 yards and a touchdown. LeSean McCoy was the work horse in the ground game as he was able to rush for 115 yards on 20 carries including a touchdown. The Giants run game was dominant on the day. They rushed for 2 touchdowns and 132 yards on the day.

The Eagles have another important game as they go on the road to take on the 8-2 Titans while the Giants head to St. Louis

I think we have the toughest schedule in the league this year too. (IMHO)
